Elderly man drowns in Samut Prakan amid financial woes

Elderly man drowns in Samut Prakan amid financial woes Why do they minimize the reality of the article? It should read elderly man kills himself in drowning at the river due to financial woes and lack of assistance from the government -

Bangkok commuters to ride electric trains for just 20 baht
thesetat replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
Sounds like another hype given by the PTP to keep people pacified. Just like the 10k distribution plan promised but never given and even now riddled with excuses and delays. Tell the people you will give them what they want to keep you in your position of power and then hope they understand when you can not fulfill your promises using excuses. -
i do not predict this sale will be a good thing for Asean now or for its members.. As Asean now always took their posts from other news services, now with Thaiger as the owner I think the only news we will actually see will be the same we can see in the Thaiger online. So why have this app? The only good that came out of this sale is for the owners of Asean now. Perhaps now is a good time to start up website free from Thaigers influence. Utilizing many sources to get us our information. Who can say that Thaiger is unbiased in their approach to giving news to its followers? I can not count the number or ads i have seen in Thaiger shown as a news report when it should have been in their advertising section to promote Thailand. Tis a sad day for Asean Now.

Tourist Depressed At Condition Of Lopburi Zoo
thesetat replied to webfact's topic in Central Thailand News
i went to that zoo over 10 years ago. It was pathetic. Run down and dirty. Everything old and needed to be replaced. Would never return there it was that bad. They did not have many animals as well to be called a zoo. I saw more wildlife running wild at the train station there. -
Couple caught having sex in sea at Patong Beach in Phuket

FRom the pics it only seems he kissed her indecently. Where is the video I can watch to confirm they really are having sex? -
Lots of people are saying the same about Trumps case as well. And I just read that the AG in Bidens case is about to be charged for failing to comply with the senate hearing providing material they asked for. That does not sound like the impeachment is going nowhere to me But it does sound like you see what you want to see that favors your politician instead of looking at the big picture.

Another over-exaggerated post by a Thai by trying to claim dangers involved. The only danger would be the car getting stuck in the sand yet they used that as their reason for making it seem worse than it was. Seems lately the Thai news and Thai people inflate anything into something severe if a foreigner does something not in the norm for a Thai person. The foreigner should have known better not to do this as driving is not permitted on the beaches unless unloading or loading your boat. But if the access to the beach did not post signs then perhaps the foreigners did not know. Still, they were having some fun and it was done when no-one was there. Only someone there far away filming it so they can send it to the police for actions against the driver.

Thai man and foreigner clash over water splash dispute (video)
thesetat replied to webfact's topic in Eastern Thailand News
Throwing water for Songkran is not the Thai tradition for Songkran. It could be taken to court. It seems even Thai people have forgotten what tradition is for Songkran. Throwing the water at someone who is not participating in the event is rude. Especially if walking by with something in your hand like food or drink. Noone respects this and thinks everyone out wants to play this way. HOwever, I do not think the police will look at it this way either. The foreigner is wrong and will be treated as such. A bad guy for causing a disturbance. Throw his ass out of the country haha... Just joking of course. But is this not what the country seems to be trying to do? The foreigner was wrong though for overreacting and speaking the way he did. IF the man really did buy him a new cup of coffee then all should have been forgiven.- 61 replies

Crackdown on foreign criminals – spotlight on Phuket
thesetat replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
I think this is the start of things to happen nationwide. Phuket always seems to shake the tree and the rest of the country follows. All these foreigners using Thai nominees to obtain properties they could not normally obtain. Setting up a business name solely for this purpose may find they have no home in Thailand soon. Then there are all those sex workers from Africa and Russia and other countries taking away a good income from the Thai sex workers and doing it without work permits. Overstaying will always be a problem when they continue letting foreigners enter the country without a visa. -
2 foreign men caught performing oral sex at Bangkok Songkran
thesetat replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
NAH! In all the news reports of foreigners caught having sex and brought in for charges, the most they have done was pay a fine not more than 5000 baht if i recall. But your point is taken about the legal systems handle on what is serious and what is not. Everyone knows that life is cheap in Thailand. It is better to kill someone instead of leaving them alive to press charges and collet large sums of money. The laws reflect this also. -
Female police save woman from drunk foreigner during Songkran
thesetat replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
It sounds like.... the incident occured 2 days before any report was made. Also it seems that the only report was most likely made by the police woman. Since there was no arrest and the Thai woman did not make a report or make a charge. Most likely this OP is a police hype. Something happened and the cop told her boss about it a few days later and they decided to tell the press about it to make the police woman look good. Also, it appears to be glorified to make it seem like there are more bad foreigners the cops need to deal with. I could be wrong in my assumption though but this is what this OP appears to be to me. -
easy to see where your allegiance lies in your post... I do not see your comments about doing the same to Biden for his nefarious activities.. He also faces impeachment hearings. You say it is not ridiculous but am sure you say the opposite about anything Biden did. That is the problem with politics. People accept or reject stupid things based on their feelings about the politician whereas they do not see their own prejudice against the opposing candidate.

Duo steals million-baht diamond bracelet from Bangkok mall
thesetat replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
do you really think anyone Thai will be looking for the difference? They will read foreigner in the news and automatically think badly again of all foreigners in the country. The fact that the news service stating maybe it was foreigners instead of saying Asian alone says they are trying to provoke a response to add to the level of anger already present in so many Thai against foreigners. -
Foreign tourist drowns trying to retrieve water gun from Bangkok canal
thesetat replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
obviously none of your comments matter. What is known is that this man should never have gone into the canal to get his water gun. Obviously, he was unable to exit the water and others were smart enough not to go into the water also to try and rescue him and trap themselves also. Sad it happened. Dead simply for the loss of a 3 dollar water pistol. -
you are obviously not naive.. but instead you are very naive. Even if your business is 100% legit. The police can come and harass or make up something that would put you out of business. I am sure you want the police in your business every week checking customers and doing drug tests on everyone there. Either that or they will not be there when something happens and instead support the other guy. Either way your business will end up being closed.

God... why doesn't the news services leave this poor man alone. Clearly he is deathly ill and injured and unable to stop them himself.

Foreigner's Shocking Behavior On Soi 4 Sparks Outrage in Bangkok [videos]
thesetat replied to george's topic in Bangkok News
I suppose you never got the runs either from eating Thai food... I applause you as probably the only man in Thailand who did not have to make a bee-line to the toilet during your time in Thailand -
Thanks... i will surely have my hands full in my time there in Pattaya.. The business I am considering would need 4 thai employees anyway... Which is another thing i will need to address if I find it feasible to make the type of business i am considering. At any rate. My thai wife can be owner of majority if it is too difficult to make me the full owner.
