Retirement Back to O Visa (Marriage?)
steve187 replied to RAZZELL's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
if you change the reason for the yearly extension the new extension will start on the day of application, not on the day after the current extension expires. -
easy /m pass are not specific to one car, so can be swapped around, the funds have no expiry date, easy pass can be topped up at 7/11 i don't think m pass can, all easy/m pass lanes are to the right hand side, but don't get confused with m-flow, which are the same colour blue and also on the right hand side, a camera reads the number plate, so keep out of these lanes, ( unless registered) each car must be registered with m-flow.

(UK) Ambulance services branded on brink of collapse
steve187 replied to CharlieH's topic in World News
I would think a lot of the ambulances are tied up doing house calls in place of the GP's who don't do it anymore, in fact the GP's don't like to see sick people anymore, but like the money they get for having the same people on their books -

Extend visa on arrival
steve187 replied to Tractorboy's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
get a 30 day visa exempt entry, and then extend at local immigration office for 30 days 1,900thb, may need a flight out of the country within 30 days of arrival to keep the airline happy, you will also need a tm30, and there are mixed reports of tm6 still be required, if you can still do a tm6 it would be best to do so, as immigration may require it -
are you registering a 'new' bike for the 1st time, if so you will not have a green book, if its a 2nd hand bike, it is best to go to DLT with the bike and owner and change to your name, not so easy if bike is registered in another province.

Non O visa extension
steve187 replied to RafPinto's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
i don't believe what i just read, so its lawful discretion to bypass the money in bank rules, as long as there is some money in the back pocket, the rules were changed to keep 400,000thb in the bank all year for 'retirement' extensions, so the 'agents' bypass the rules altogether with a back hander -
Non O visa extension
steve187 replied to RafPinto's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
not not really did he, how did the daughter break any rules -
extensions to permission to stay are only issued inside Thailand, when does your current permission to stay expire and what are your travelling dates? edit you say your visa expires 7th august, do you mean extension issued at local immigration office, or do you mean visa either issued outside Thailand of inside Thailand as part of a conversions to non immigrant visa

I see return flights from lhr 31st august return 30th september with cheaper airlines with long stop overs from £462 ie Saudia 37hours flight time on one leg, £462, Gulf air 19hour flight time £591, qatar flight time 19 hours £634, Thai air direct flight from £704, Finn air 17hours flight time from £710, Emirates 15hour flight time £802, so you could be correct, lets hope so

parting with your passport, and paying up front for something extremely dodgy is just asking for trouble, the most important thing while staying in Thailand is keeping hold of your passport, and having the permission to stay stamp up to date.
