  1. if you change the reason for the yearly extension the new extension will start on the day of application, not on the day after the current extension expires.
  2. anyone know the latest requirements for doing a 5year to 5 year licence renewal at pattaya DLT, i have done the online 1 hour video, ie having to book an appointment, doctor letter, immigration letter copies of passport etc. thanks
  3. easy /m pass are not specific to one car, so can be swapped around, the funds have no expiry date, easy pass can be topped up at 7/11 i don't think m pass can, all easy/m pass lanes are to the right hand side, but don't get confused with m-flow, which are the same colour blue and also on the right hand side, a camera reads the number plate, so keep out of these lanes, ( unless registered) each car must be registered with m-flow.
  4. what did you need for the renewal, did you have to book an appointment online
  5. joint accounts are no good for immigration purposes. but all banks will do a joint account, yes you could have 2 accounts
  6. I would think a lot of the ambulances are tied up doing house calls in place of the GP's who don't do it anymore, in fact the GP's don't like to see sick people anymore, but like the money they get for having the same people on their books
  7. did you organise it so that your extension will expire while you are out of the country, so you will have to start again on re-entry with a fresh non imm 'O'
  8. your local immigration office may have a solution over the phone, or by someone going on your behalf, i would stay clear of agents
  9. obtain a 60 day visit Thai wife extension 1,900thb this will give the 400,000thb time to season for the required 2 months, once seasoned apply for a yearly 'Married' extension another 1,900thb
  10. looks ok, just need some rule enforcement, which I'm not sure the Thai police are capable of
  11. a single entry non 'O' can only be extended for one year, either 'marriage' or 'retirement' , no 30 day extensions
  12. get a 30 day visa exempt entry, and then extend at local immigration office for 30 days 1,900thb, may need a flight out of the country within 30 days of arrival to keep the airline happy, you will also need a tm30, and there are mixed reports of tm6 still be required, if you can still do a tm6 it would be best to do so, as immigration may require it
  13. are you registering a 'new' bike for the 1st time, if so you will not have a green book, if its a 2nd hand bike, it is best to go to DLT with the bike and owner and change to your name, not so easy if bike is registered in another province.
  14. i don't believe what i just read, so its lawful discretion to bypass the money in bank rules, as long as there is some money in the back pocket, the rules were changed to keep 400,000thb in the bank all year for 'retirement' extensions, so the 'agents' bypass the rules altogether with a back hander
  15. not not really did he, how did the daughter break any rules
  16. i would think it could be too early, also the 30 days under consideration could put him past or very close to his travel date edit to above no time before 7th July flight, as a 30 day under consideration period is required
  17. try again in a few days 5th or 6th for a 60 day visit Thai wife extension, wife needs to be with you
  18. extensions to permission to stay are only issued inside Thailand, when does your current permission to stay expire and what are your travelling dates? edit you say your visa expires 7th august, do you mean extension issued at local immigration office, or do you mean visa either issued outside Thailand of inside Thailand as part of a conversions to non immigrant visa
  19. you mention extension in your opening post, what entry stamp do you have, non imm O visa, visa exempt, tourist visa. money for yearly extension for marriage only has to be in an account in your name only for 2 months.
  20. I see return flights from lhr 31st august return 30th september with cheaper airlines with long stop overs from £462 ie Saudia 37hours flight time on one leg, £462, Gulf air 19hour flight time £591, qatar flight time 19 hours £634, Thai air direct flight from £704, Finn air 17hours flight time from £710, Emirates 15hour flight time £802, so you could be correct, lets hope so
  21. parting with your passport, and paying up front for something extremely dodgy is just asking for trouble, the most important thing while staying in Thailand is keeping hold of your passport, and having the permission to stay stamp up to date.
