Unless you have something on that disk that you can't lose. In my case it would require lots of hassle to reinstall computer with all the licenses, VMs with TPM keys, etc. On some I'd need to get several approvals to do so. Hence a clone when running out of space is a 1 hour well spent vs. 2 weeks of arguing with approvers. But yes, if home computer with basically no software on it, and all licenses handy, storing everything in cloud - a reinstall would definitely be a faster and easier option.

Prayut Angered When Asked To Respond To Thaksin’s Comments

There was a grown up answer to that reporter: I don't comment on statements from wanted criminals. -
I would also recommend AOMEI Backupper and an external enclosure if you could not plug both HDD and SSD into the computer at the same time, but from what I remember the specs, your computer should have both M.2 NVMe socket and SATA. Procedure is pretty simple. https://www.ubackup.com/clone/clone-larger-drive-to-smaller-drive-3889.html If SSD is same or larger size than the current HDD, then you could just leave default settings during cloning. But basically, insert new M.2 SSD into your computer, download the demo version (good enough for cloning - link inside above linked article), select to clone from HDD to SSD with instructions above, when done, open BIOS and switch boot drive from HDD to SSD, make sure all works fine, then format HDD and use it as a data drive. Or replace that one with SATA SSD as well to have a fast second drive, too. You can then put original HDD into an external USB enclosure and use it for backup or alike.

Worst Joke Ever 2024

A blonde and brunette are watching 6 o'clock news. There's a story about a man standing on the bridge, threatening to jump off... Brunette turns to blonde and says:"I bet 5000 baht that he'll jump!" Blonde takes the bet. A minute or so later, the man jumps... Blonde opens the wallet and hands brunette 5000 baht. Brunette says:"I can't accept this money. I watched 5 o'clock news and already knew he'll jump!" "But you have to accept it," says the blonde. "I watched 5 o'clock news as well, but didn't think he'll jump again!" -
Panel Suggests Review of Bang Sue Nameplate Redesign Project

Because of who gave it the new name... Although something can be called something but doesn't need to have a name plate to reflect that. -
Very classy blaming the victim, who happens to be 8 year old kid, and not the Nazi who made him do 500 sit-ups. That care-taker should be given 10500 sit ups, 500 for each of 21 kids he forced to do the same, with the gun pointing at his head if he stops. After-all, with the decision making skills like that, beyond 2 extra ventilation holes there should be no additional damage.

e-ink or other computer/laptop displays for migraines

https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/laptops/thinkbook/thinkbook-plus/thinkbook-plus-g2-itg/xxtbxpli300 Depending on specs, it's about 1000$ give or take in US, not sure if available in Thailand. In above pic, that's the lid ePaper display. On the other side is normal LCD IPS color screen. -
Poor air quality reported in 36 areas of Bangkok and suburbs on Monday
tomazbodner replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Maybe true, but in the past it only got it for 1-2 months a year, now it's in 100+ for 6 months or more in a year already. It's like this since October and bound to stay like this until probably May or June... That's not the same as previous years. In fact it started getting considerably worse about 10 years ago. Before that it was reasonable and not so long lasting (I say this as someone who used air filters in rooms since 2003 and pm2.5 meter since 2003 or 2004). -
Poor air quality reported in 36 areas of Bangkok and suburbs on Monday
tomazbodner replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
If I understand correctly, pollution control department is taking only numbers from their official measuring stations. I was at Lumpini today (with AQI 180+ Bangkok average) and nearest measuring station AirVisual app picked up was Chulalongkorn hospital 100m away. Showed AQI of 17.... Yeah, right. I even checked when data was collected and it claimed less than 10 min ago... -
BUSDREAM on bus is quite ... I don't know what word to use in that situation, or maybe I better keep it to myself. But seriously... it is "good" that this has happened after children were offloaded and that this was a convoy so his colleagues rushed in to help. Would have ended as a lot more tragic story if he had seizure an hour or so earlier, when kids were still there, and possibly driving faster than this...

e-ink or other computer/laptop displays for migraines
tomazbodner replied to david_je's topic in IT and Computers
e-Ink is not commonly used as the main screen on any computers or laptops. There are some tablets (Boox, Kindle, etc.) that use ePaper or Color ePaper and they are very gentle on the eyes in well-lit environments, but obviously a major strain in dark environments although side illumination helps. Biggest problem of ePaper is its main feature - to keep power consumption down and extend battery life, it has an extremely low refresh rate - up to a second on newer, even longer on older displays. This means that it makes them pretty much useless for much of media consumption, and that's the reason most computers don't feature it (alas Lenovo has one laptop model with such display on the back, but not main screen). There could be alternative if you are currently using home version of computer screens/notebooks. Those are glossy and while that adds much better contrast, it also adds considerable reflection and eye strain. There are business models of both monitors and laptops, which feature a matte screen, which has worse contrast but much less eye strain. Don't know the names of business models from other brands, but HP has EliteBook and ZBook laptops, EliteOne all-in-one, and EliteDisplay as well as ZDisplay with no reflection incredibly sharp screens. Other brands probably have separate home and business product lines, where versions for those who need to stare at the screen all day would likely be matte displays. Maybe worth giving that a try, and experiment with brightness/contrast settings a bit as well to see what suits your eyes the most. If you can't see clearly, get glasses to sharpen the screen and have blue filter (so called computer glasses) which might add a bit of additional eye comfort, especially as eyes won't need to try to focus so hard, causing fatigue. -

Committee Set to Decide on Tourist Entry Fee
tomazbodner replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
What I am more interested in is how would airline at the other end of the World know whether to charge the fee or not, based on whether foreigner has a work permit? Are they experts in checking digital work permits as well? Or do you now have to carry work permit booklet with you on the trips? Ehm.... more interested in this than how collecting of tax would actually happen... -

Committee Set to Decide on Tourist Entry Fee
tomazbodner replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Same as years ago - you had to hand over (I think it was 500 baht at that time) to leave the country, now you'll have to do it to enter the country. No cash, no entry. I think this one is more predictable and makes more sense than sayonara tax, as at that time many had no cash left and were begging others to be able to leave, unaware of that requirement. Mostly people still have money when arriving... -

Man Crossing Road in the Dark Hit and Killed in Pattaya

No, they found a volunteer and replayed the same accident moments later to get the photo for Pattaya News, surely! -
Having done that many times, both with extensions of stay and PR status - for both the procedure is the same: Ask the passport office in your country to only punch holes or whatever they do to invalidate passport on the blank pages at the end, but not your visa / extension page, and not your information page. When entering Thailand, show both passports. Officer will check your permission to enter from old passport, then stamp your new one. Sometimes a note will be added, which will point to page in previous passport where that permission of stay was stamped. Bon voyage!
