Is the new condo more or less expensive? If less expensive, and you still have that slip that original purchase price was transferred, you can use that. If new condo is more expensive, you'd need to transfer difference from abroad. You can buy condo but can't transfer it unless you can show (with bank form/letter) that entire amount is transferred from abroad. Or so I was told. But then got PR and didn't need to worry about that anymore.

But things are evolving daily, in security. Researchers on Wednesday announced a major cybersecurity find—the world’s first-known instance of real-world malware that can hijack a computer’s boot process even when Secure Boot and other advanced protections are enabled and running on fully updated versions of Windows. https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2023/03/unkillable-uefi-malware-bypassing-secure-boot-enabled-by-unpatchable-windows-flaw/ Badly written article, but you'll get the point of what all is exploitable nowadays...

Pepsi Introduces Bottles Made from Recycled Plastic

Indeed. Instead, drink micro plastics, pesticides and heavy metals in water, eat hormones and antibiotics laden meat, pesticides and herbicides sprayed fruits and veggies covered in wax, splash all that down with some strong alcohol for disinfection, and go out and breathe the smokey air. And let's not forget all that preservatives that keep all food stuff from going off... Such a healthy lifestyle that will surely make you avoid any doctors until you're 140, right? -
Well... election is when you let the biggest group of people select who would run the country. The biggest group of people in most countries are the poorer and less educated, who are also easily swayed by populist promises and vote buying, for having less forward thinking and mostly focusing on immediate needs, out of necessity. Had countries had mostly well-off people with ability to think long term and critically assess information, the government would have actually done the job it's there to do, and, none of the politicians you see in power now would actually be there, but rot in prisons. So, sorry, but most of Thai electorate, like in most other countries, will vote for the most unbelievable lies, without questioning them. Is that a true democracy? You be the judge of that.

You don't know why they were looking for her. It might not have reached them and they just did normal rounds. But found nobody home. Be a bit optimistic, else you'll really draw all the wrong attention to you at the airport. -
Worst Joke Ever 2025

Internal SATA HDD will max out at about 200-250 MB/s. Though there are faster options for servers like 10,000 rpm SAS drives, those aren't supported on workstations. A generic SATA-III/mSATA SSD can reach about 600 MB/s, due to limitations of SATA interface. Same goes for M.2 NGFF type SSD (which is based on SATA) On the flip side, USB 3.2 (Gen 2x2) maxes out at 2.5 GB/s (20 Gbps). Obviously PCI Express Gen 4 is speedier, but limited to internal M.2 PCI-Ex SSD drives. All that aside - M2 Mac Mini has no internal SATA ports, and NAND SSD is soldered onboard. So mounting anything internal into it is not going to be an option. The red box is where NAND flash chips are. Image is of 256 GB model with low speed storage. 512 GB model would have used 2 NAND chips and nearly double the speed. Googled up a bit more on the SSD in 256 GB model: https://www.macworld.com/article/1483183/ssd-speeds-m2-macbook-pro-mac-mini.html

M2 can run software from external drive but not OS. That is only supported on internal SSD, unlike the Intel-based Macs. You can get external drive from Sandisk (USB 3.2) which runs at similar speed to an internal drive. Especially 256 GB models of M2 Macs have slow internal drives as they use a single flash, unlike older models which ran dual chips, so it may even turn out to be faster externally. I use their 2 TB drive as an external drive (alas for my data, not software) on Intel i9 based iMac for a year now without any issues. Speed is not far off its 1 TB internal SSD, which is same or higher than your Mac Mini. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/sandisk-extreme-pro-v2-portable-ssd-2tb-sdssde81-2t00-g25-i4532559193-s18445318634.html

In that case all should be good. The entry stamp is just transferred from previous passport, and the information copied over by hand. NON-RE means you had a non-immigrant visa with a re-entry, which you used for entry into the country, and the date or arrival plus period of stay are listed. Happy holidays ????

Indian national arrested for overstaying his visa by 1,200 days

The more of the face that you cover, the less accuracy the system provides, as it is looking for distinct facial features, which of course mask and sunglasses would completely cover. However during COVID, where facial recognition became a challenge, many other ways of detection were added, such as movements (the way a person walks), height estimation (by adding laser matrix to camera a 3D image with distance measuring is possible - some digital cameras and many robot vacuums use the same), and infrared filters, which can "see" through simple types of masks, although blocked by most quality sunglasses. Others of course are anomaly detection. It's cloudy and there's a man with black sunglasses and peaked cap with N95 mask... such anomalies can be flagged as well, and automatically traced. I know Bangkok installed many thousands of cameras after redshirt occupation of central Bangkok, but not sure how far they are in hooking them up to automated recognition system. It is I think clear that they have some sort of automation, given how quickly they could track and find people after incidents. It would have taken considerably longer to do it "by hand". -

I'm more intrigued by the "COPY COPY COPY" on the stamp... What's that about? And Suvarnabhumi stamp states BANGKOK, not SUVARNNABHUM. Is that a real stamp given at Bangkok immigration? The reason I'm asking is that I've had a case when they forgot to stamp me in, maybe 2019, only stamping my PR book but not passport. Went back and got a stamp - and even that was a normal stamp, not a "copy" stamp. Or is this a move of stamps into the new passport at immigration office?

Their mugshots would be in the system though, and there are 10s of thousands CCTV cameras in Thailand, which could be upgraded for facial recognition. Overstaying by self-imprisonment would not be any fun and I guess most such guests would leave as soon as they could afford to. I am aware of such systems already in use in China, Serbia, Dubai and New Zealand. First 2 use Chinese technology, no idea for Dubai, while New Zealand uses Japanese provider. There are probably many more. It's basically same as that "smart car BMW" just that it's always on, and hooked up to all cameras in the area, scanning everyone's face and flagging those on the list, then following them around to prepare for arrest. Such systems are not only used for finding criminals, but are often combined with management systems that control flow of traffic, public transport planning, etc. Like it or not, given overall benefits of such systems, and the aspirations of population controls, sooner rather than later such systems will become a norm in most cities, before starting to spread across the rest of countries. -

Husband: Dear, do you remember that gold shop where you just loved that diamond necklace and for which I told you that one day it will be yours? Wife melts down: I'm so sorry, dear... Husband is lying in sofa chair watching TV... Wife asks him to fix the pipe in the kitchen as it's leaking, to which he answers: I'm not a plumber! A few days later, light bulb dies in bedroom and when wife asks the hubby to replace it, he brushes back: I'm not a darn electrician! Some days later, when returning home from work he notices bulb is replaced, pipe is fixed and immediately asks wife: Did you call plumber and electrician? Wife: No, neighbour fixed them both. Husband: And how much did he charge you for it? Wife: Nothing. He said either bake him a cake or have sex with him. Husband: And? Did you bake him a cake? Wife: I'm not a damn baker!
