  1. Extremely unlikely, they only just removed the redlist and mandatory quarantine because it was pointless to keep it. Omicron is already here in big numbers. Just self-isolation now at your home (or somewhere else)
  2. I'm due to arrive on 24th. (departing UK 23rd). I'm hoping that they can't make the change that fast, or that they may honour existing TPs. I could depart a day earlier but that is a big hassle. If I knew it would make the difference then I would, but who knows. A 7 day quarantine wouldn't be so bad, but I'd be annoyed at 10 or 14.
  3. Hmm... I wouldn't need to change the pre-flight PCR, just change the flight ticket and the ASQ booking then if possible ?
  4. I'm arriving this week (Friday 24th) into BKK on test & go, fingers crossed I might just make it.
  5. Yeah, just spotted that. I might just get in in time (arrives BKK Friday). If not, then I had always anticipated having to do quarantine - I was thanking my lucky stars for test & Go. If it wasn't for the pre-flight PCR test having to be re-arranged, the Thailand Pass etc having to be redone, I'd hop on the plane a day earlier to try and avoid it.
  6. J&J one jab qualifies as fully vaccinated so my guess is that you just need to upload that and there will be no confusion. There is an email address isn't there for you to ask ?
  7. I'm flying out next week on 23rd and of course I have my Thailand pass and 1 day test and go. I hope Thailand don't change the entry conditions at the last minute ! Fingers crossed.
  8. I don't think I've see a definitive answer. Only educated guesses, and a couple of experiences from people wo have entered, but that is not definitive either, they could have just got lucky.
  9. Must be loads of places in Chiang Rai, Kasemrad Sriburin Hospital do them. I had planned to get mine done there, and confirmed by phone with them, but got it done in Chiang Saen instead as it was no doubt less busy. Test one day, and pick up result by 10am the net day (PCR) but you should always check and make clear to them when you need the result by. Also seemed less hassle than getting it done in Bangkok.
  10. Yes, Wise can be both good and frustrating. Sometimes instant, sometimes "we need more time to process your transfer". As for your notes, this has always been an issue so I inspect the notes in the UK first to make sure they are unmarked and in good condition. Only option now seems to be for you to find another expat who is returning to the UK to exchange with.
  11. Cigna provided such a letter for me, to accompany the normal certificate, others may do as well
  12. Yeah, I've done that once, it was OK. Plus I bought my ticket for December all the way back in June, and although I'd hoped for some relaxation, it was possible that a 14-day quarantine would still to be in effect. I do think 14 days is too long though, 7-10 takes away most of the risk.
  13. They should have just stuck to the Test & Go one night hotel stay and PCR test. I don't think it is too much to ask of incoming travellers at all. With the emergence of the new OMICROM variant they may well go back to that anyway. PCR is a much more reliable test, and in my case an overnight stay after a long flight is well appreciated before I take a flight up North the next day. And with a negative PCR, I'm more confident I'm not putting my family at risk. OK, if you live in Bangkok then it may be a bit frustrating I admit, but it is for both your protection and protection for the Thai people as well.
  14. Still, for peace of mind that I probably aren't a risk to my family, I'm happy to take a PCR test on arrival anyway.
  15. And I've already got my test and go hotel booking and Thailand pass for late December. I shouldn't have applied so far in advance ! Oh well, considering I was originally expecting a 7-10 day quarantine, it is still a win.
  16. Standard Non-O retirement. It is an annual policy (paid monthly) that had just renewed for another year.
  17. I have a Cigna Global policy that covers me as an expat in Thailand. So the normal certificate, and they supplied me with a supplemental letter confirming that the policy covered Covid specifically.
  18. Very fast. And for me, the Thailand Pass from the UK only took two days as well.
  19. But how do those costs compare to the old 400k/40k requirement for one year ? Those Pacific Cross prices are about the same as my Cigna policy which is surprising since I have a £2,000 (about 90,000 baht) deductible. They must have reduced their prices at some point.
  20. Surely the new 3M insurance is better than the old 400k/40k ? It was the 40k outpatient cover that was both totally useless and very expensive at the same time. I'd have thought that most OA users would have some sort of annual policy anyway which would be at least 3M.
  21. Should be plenty of time, but if you are concerned then look for an airline that has fee-free date changes and likewise for the test and go hotel. Thailand Pass for me from the UK was approved in 2 days just recently for travel at Xmas.
