  1. Thank God this DEI stupidity never happened on Trump's watch? https://www.faa.gov/newsroom/faa-provides-aviation-careers-people-disabilities https://medium.com/faa/opening-doors-to-the-controller-workforce-d8d2ace46fa5
  2. There seem to be some major misconceptions on how DEI hiring for ATC positions work. All ot does is help people get an initial foot in the door. After that they are subject to the same rigorous training that non DEI hires would be. No one goes straight from passing the training to a position in the tower at Regan International. The video below has the ATC and aircraft communications overlayed in real time on the flight track data. It appears to show that ATC did their job but for some reason the helicopter climbed 200 feet a moment before the crash.
  3. But there aren't any relevant facts in the article.
  4. Seem to remember Bob having some magical medication to help with the negative effects of his drinking. For some strange reason he was unable to name that one either.
  5. Haven't they changed the "watch a video" part to the requirement for an online test now? Thought you needed the QR code from that before they will continue to process the application?
  6. Need to update that information as it seems it will change on 6 Apr 25. Seems they are changing from domicile to residence however UK inheritance tax will still apply to UK assets. https://www.stoneking.co.uk/literature/e-bulletins/october-budget-2024-changes-domicile-uk-inheritance-tax
  7. Not true if you are a Brit. He owns a house in the UK so HMRC will consider him domiciled in the UK and his worldwide assets will be used for inheritance tax calculations. The only good news is that you can get up to £175,000 tax free for the house making a total of £500,000.
  8. So your OP was half a story. Mention pensions but not income.
  9. Form 91 is for declaring income from working in Thailand, you mentioned pensions. How does your statement "depends" help anyone?
  10. Think you have the wrong forms there, form 91 states it is for income from employment. If you are declaring money remitted from abroad I thing form 90 is the one you need.
  11. Watched one of his videos the other day where he seemed to be suggesting that his viewers should report the foreigners who he considered were working illegally by giving tax advice. I thought that was very poor advice from a lawyer in Thailand considering the defamation laws. He is a lawyer, if he thinks people are working illegally why doesn't he report them himself? Gave up watching his videos after that.
  12. An example, a poster said he needed a CoR to get his TIN, my office didn't require a CoR to issue my TIN, I have no yellow book or pink card. So tax offices seem to have different requirements just like immigration offices. Wouldn't be the first time a government office was unaware of new procedures.
  13. "Definitive answer"? Is it the same as someone posting the answer to a question asked at their local immigration office and everyone accepting that that is the definitive answer for every immigration office and reflects what immigration orders dictate? People seem to get different answers from different officers at the same immigration office so why take one or two tax offices as gospel? Everyone's situation regarding tax status is slightly different. I won't be taking any advice from people who have no idea what my individual situation is.
  14. The police are involved, the money is evidence. They are probably best doing nothing with the money until the investigation is concluded and the police determine where the money should be.
  15. LG had a major problem with what are called linear compressors which they started using in their fridges. Multiple lawsuits in the US. They updated them in 2018 but still had problems. In 2022 they went back to using standard compressors. I have a Samsung that must be close to 20 years old, only issue is the door seals have becomea bit stiff. Have an 11 year old Mitsubish that had an issue a few years ago with water leaking, left it to defrost totally and that seemed to fix it so possiblt the water drain got clogged up with ice and dust. Also have a Toshiba that is about 4 years old that has had no issues.
  16. Try Gillette Blue 3. 60 baht for a pack of three in Makro.
  17. Not sure what you mean. I get the compulsory government insurance at one of the local vehicle inspection places and the second class insurance on Roojai. I used to go to the local office of an insurance company for the optional insurance but find it more convenient with Roojai now.
  18. Did you really? Compulsory insurance is 645 baht. Second class insurance on my bike cost 2,400 baht. 500,000 baht for each injured person, 10,000,000 baht maximum for each accident and 600,000 baht for property damage. You need to change insurance companies.
  19. Yes it does as long as it complies with Thai laws.
  20. I hear Rooney is avaliable if you need a new manager.
  21. So now that the new year is here and no new law has been passed does that mean tax will only be due on assessable money bought into Thailand in 2024? Which tax form should be used, PMD90 or PND91?
  22. The anti-vax crowd need to wake up, it's being pushed by Big Pharma. They no longer make money out of vaccine doses so are spreading the anti- vax message to fuel large outbreaks of such things as polio, measles, tuberculosis and maybe even smallpox. More money to be made from large outbreaks and the medication required to treat the symptoms.
  23. At least Trump and Mandelson will be able to reminisce about an old acquaintance they both knew.
  24. He should get on well with J.D. Vance, their historical views on Trump seem to be fairly similar.
  25. Baguettes with sesame seeds.
