  1. I've seen it all now, buying your steak in 4 interest free payments.
  2. I used to do that but now I just buy a new carb for 130 baht and throw the old ones away.
  3. I know you don't need sugar or fat to make bread. That is why my last sentence stated that I only use flour, water, yeast and salt. I have never used a bread maker but I keep seeing sugar and fat in the bread recipes for them. I assume it is because people expect the bread to be ready two hours after they start and that can only be achieved using sugar.
  4. It tastes like cake because your recipe is similar to a cake recipe. It seems with bread makers you have no choice other than adding sugar and fat. I suggest you give it a go with 4/5 teaspoons of sugar. For hand made bread I only use flour, water, yeast and salt.
  5. I had a lower abdomen MRI with contrast two weeks ago at Siriraj government hospital for 15,000 baht. Takes about an hour.
  6. Haven't heard back yet but it is my understanding that to get granted probate in the IOM you first need probate granted in the UK. I am hoping to only require one will for a UK based solicitor and for that solicitor to get probate in all jurisdictions and gather the funds for the estate. Once gathered they can deal with the taxman and distribute the funds to the beneficiaries.
  7. Nothing is ever as simple as it seems. I am British and have just started looking into this. My offshore bank says I will require probate granted in their jurisdiction before releasing any funds. However as I am British and am technically domiciled in the UK even though I live in Thailand I will also require probate in the UK as far as I can tell. The UK taxman will almost certainly need to be involved. I will be contacting a UK solicitor today that deals with multi jurisdictional probate requirements and will be happy to post their general advice should they offer any.
  8. Take a stroll along Ying Pao road, LP Steak and Pizza has a brick pizza oven. Several other restaurants and a few bars on that road as well. The bars are more Thai style than tourist beer bars.
  9. There are quite a few bars if that is what you want. The Whale hotel has a massage place if that is your thing. Usual selection of restaurants. Difficult to say when you don't mention your interests.
  10. You claimed the addition of facial recognition was another push to a cashless society. The bank app is already cashless, nothing they do to it makes it more cashless.
  11. How is it pushing the cashless society? It is an extra level of security added to a cashless bank app.
  12. Went into my home branch of BBL a week ago, they understood what I wanted, took my picture and completed a bit of paperwork. Took about 10 minutes. Told it would work the next day and it did.
  13. 30,000 baht for glasses? I paid 14,000 for photochromic progressive lens glasses in a shop next to my local Makro. Stood on them about six months later so used the prescription to get new ones from Zenni for 5,000 baht.
  14. So Trump is woke? He panders to the extreme, is often nonsensical and dishonest and agrees with removing literature he doesn't like from libraries.
  15. From the article it seems he was never in prison. It appears he was fined and kept in IDC waiting to be deported. I suspect the conditions in IDC are rough but the pictures suggest you can have a mobile phone. It would also seem he needed the NZ embassy to get him a flight? Was that due to his conviction or because he had no money to buy a ticket?
  16. Historically enamel cookware started with cast iron. How is anyone supposed to gather that you were talking about carbon steel cookware when you mention enamel pans?
  17. Enamel cooking pans may be carbon steel but could also be cast iron or even aluminium. A carbon steel pan is bare carbon steel, an enamel pan is metal coated in enamel.
  18. Surprised no one has mentioned carbon steel. Most of the benefits of a cast iron pan but lighter, usually have a decent length handle that doesn't get red hot during use and unlikely to scratch the surface.
  19. Are you saying you would be forced to keep your digital currency in a bank? People would no longer be able to own stocks, gold, bonds, property etc. as investments?
  20. I like fishing and usually fish for hampala barbs in the local river. After watching a few videos on YouTube I decided to have a go at fishing for giant snakehead. I check Google Earth for old style canals with a concrete walkway in my area and give them a go. I start at sunrise and pack in when it gets too hot. Below is an example in Ban Phaeo district, Samut Sakhon. 20221102_080533.mp4
  21. If you click the link to the publication and click on Don Muang the reasons given are the golf course between the two runways and that the airport flooded in 2011.
  22. AIS have a Net Marathon SIM. Valid for 12 months and price varies depending on speed and data limit. About 1,800 baht for 10mbps and 100Gb per month.
