  1. Australia does not give anything away even if you have paid for it. Just to help the confused , i am refering to the portability rules on pension points earned in Australia.
  2. I have seen that Australia has a similar problem as the UK has also. I saw that Norway has NOT a problem. On there lead up to there national day on the 17th of May the local people would them selves clean up any rubbish on the sides of roads. Thailand is not as bad as other countries. I pick up rubbish within around 200 meters of our house. Not a strain to do.
  3. No mention of if the children attending the illegal nursery had there visas in order. Parents sending there children to the nursery could be charged for aiding and abetting a crime.
  4. The Thai Police seem to be ready to be told what to do by social media in this case involving an alledged assault on some steps. If the person alledgedly assaulted had been a lesser qualified person nobody would of heard anything. The accused should answer the allegations in court before any decision is made on his visa. A sad outcome for all foreigners living in Thailand.
  5. If the man is deported without a court deciding he is guity is worrying for all foreigners living here in Thailand.
  6. Done many Thais a favour by offering vaccinations by Chinese vaccines. Chinese vaccines saved many people around the world.
  7. Yes its just my opinion, yet USA is not a typical nanny state, far from it compared to many countries in Europe where health care is provided from the taxes each citizen pays. I realise that most foreigners living in Thailand believe as you that we are doing them a favour by spending money here. I think many Thais think differently. I think many Thais do indeed resent the difference in income of foreigners. I am quite sure the Thai people are not happy with there government when the majority saw there vote disposed of in the last election.
  8. Nanny states provide needed help for millions of people. Thailand is far from a nanny state, hence the affordability for foreigners I feel often that I am living of the backs of the Thai people that have low wages and very low pensions that make my situation good with a hard currency pension arriving every month that is well over what an average Thai pensionist receives.
  9. Mr yodle may get a rent reduction when the steps encrouching public land are removed.
  10. I used an agent in a different area for the retirement visa for two years and the 90 day reports were done for free by the agent. I just had two send him copies of passport and visa details to the agent 3 weeks before the due date . This year I did the 12 month visa myself and i will have to do the 90 day report at the end of April. I hope all goes well after 2 years of using agents.
  11. Obviously motorcycle's are higher risk where ever you are in the world. If you can't handle them don't ride them . Keep left in Thailand by the way, no wonder you don't want to get on a motorcycle in Thailand.
  12. The ev SUV will have more chance of killing pedestrians, especially in cities around the world. Pathetic comparison you raise about this type of transport.
  13. From what I understand about Thai banks is that if they declare that a loan is not recoverable then they must place an equal sum lost from the loan into there reserves, That would give the banks a problem so it is better to sit on there bad loans.
  14. My only suggestion is for you to change your name to retard. Good luck with your wishes
  15. Accomodation rates should raise significantly when the 8 billion Chinese arrive. Big question, what is there next increase on immigration services going to be.
  16. I am not surprised that China is hurting Thai manufacturers and suppliers. I bought three 6500 watt instantaneous water heaters from China through lazada for the price of one in Thailand. Now I am waiting for a 12kwh diesel generator from China that is costing 48000 baht with an automatic transfer switch freight and taxes paid through Alibaba. Local suppliers are up in 65000 baht plus for the same unit.
  17. I remember a government Bank house loan the lady of the house once had the interest rate would raise to 30 percent when in arrears. If that is normal I can well understand that the Thai borrowers are in a sticky situation when behind in there morgage payments.
  18. Just open two accounts . One for general living expenses and one for larger amounts for immigration purposes.
  19. I obtained the bank letter and supplied my own 12 month statement.
  20. Have the airconditioners checked for how much electricity is being used . Maybe the airconditioners are not so high end anymore.
  21. I had a 12 month statement accepted at Chiang Mai immigration a few weeks back that I downloaded myself from internet banking.

    Rats in Silom

Disposal of food waste is the main problem in Thailand. There needs to be a system to collect food waste only. Less food for the rats can only be a positive.
  23. Paying with a phone at a checkout is taking longer than a card for sure , Annoying Security has not been a problem regarding paying any bills in my three years of internet banking. Useful tool to have.
  24. PEA rubbing there hands together in anticipation of extra usage from air-conditioning. Get smart and use a fan, spoil there party.
