    China is not known for colonising there neighbours over history. I think Thailand has been smart in not borrowing money from China unlike so many other countries have as that is a form of colonisation when the loans are not repaid.

    I suggest you do not understand the portability rules. The 2 years is for avoid paying what they owe you. If you work in a country that has a social agreement with Australia then the years can be combined which was my situation . Yet to getr what i am owed from Australia i must live there for two years. No other western nation has such obstructions for receiving what you have paid for.

    I understand what you mean , to be honest I don't think any Thai government would see any advantage in chasing the people that do not file a tax return on fear of losing there vote.

    More profit is more in there activity than more jobs. Many traders in Thailand are using QR codes without thinking of the consequences. Meaning that if the trader is not supplying a tax return they are leaving them selves vulnerable to prosecution for tax avoidance . It is estimated that 70 percent of traders in Thailand do not pay tax.

    Traceable I am sure, but it will take time to recover your money or not at all. Check the receiver and the amount and all should be ok.

    In that scenario the shopkeeper will not receive the amount . Then you have to try and find out where your money has gone. Simple Hopefully it never happens to you but I can assure you it is happening everyday around the world Perhaps the thieves have not caught on in Thailand
