  1. Lets hope the gates are opened as when they are closed it is detrimental for international trade in Thailand . I have no idea how often this scenario has been played out . Often I am sure , Most individuals would not try and recover there money especially after having read the opinions of Asian Now.
  2. The court will look at what agreement the two had when the money was sent . I doubt if the court is interested in his infidelity .
  3. I have read this man's foolish transaction but there was no mention from him that the money was a gift . Maybe that is the woman's story.
  4. However many friends he has makes no difference to the fact that he sent money for buying a house and he wants his money back . Morals are not what the case is about .
  5. Since you are so sure of the outcome why not start a book . I am not so sure . There was a case of a Danish man who managed to recover his money from a Thai woman through the civil court and i am quite sure there are other cases as well .
  6. Using a agent in Bangkok when you live in what ever province and you have the funds matured for the time required in your Thai bank account is not illegal . If the practice is illegal please mention a conviction to back up your theory .
  7. Young men in Thailand have been fooled by the car manufacturers that a pickup can be considered a fast sporty vehicle that they are 100 percent not . Pickup trucks should be sold with a device to limit the speed to 80 kmh . If sales go down so be it .
  8. I think you are nitpicking which we all can sometimes such as under construction should read under reconstruction and little drawing should read rough sketch .
  9. Well , reporting is a job for Thais only and that should explain your question
  10. I myself have a rule that I drink no more than three hours and still manage to get a wobbly boot now and then . Therefore a 4am closing time is completely of no value to me . I see no need or desire for it either as you have far more chance of getting into confrontation with drinkers that dont know when they have had enough .
  11. I have rode the 160 click for 4000 kilometers now and I am impressed at the acceleration and the effective brakes but not impressed when you take the bike over 75 kilometers per hour . Just a city bike for sure . I purchased a 160 adv with abs last week and that cost was 30,000 baht more than the click and the extra money is worth every baht for sure . Brakes are better and feels good at 100 kilometers per hour .
  12. I paid 72000 baht for a 160 abs click registered late last year
  13. I thank you for your help , main problem is that if you are living abroad you have no right to a renewal of a UK drivers license .
  14. Tourism could fall flat in Thailand in the coming months going by the number of hotel bookings . Coupled with the slow down in exports we may see a reversal of the baht strength of the past two months .
  15. The information sent from Swansea is better than a license card as it gives details of any previous driving convictions and the date of passing your test . Thank you for your reply
  16. The contemporary design you have chosen is pleasing to the eye , yet a flat roof is a far higher risk from problems . Heavy rain can give problems if the outlets can not take the volume which can easily happen in Thailand .
  17. I have to apply for a Thai license and take a test as the DLT informed me today . I could not use the proof of a license with the details that the UK drivers license Agency had sent even though I explained that I could not apply for a new license card while living abroad .
