    The reasons for the lower alcohol level probably raises the cost of the beer brewing as they have to be sure what the level is . Before the Thai beverage company never had to be too precise .

    My understanding is that the older generation are not at high risk of the monkey virus . It is the younger generation that are most at risk due to the smallpox virus has been considered eradicated and there for no need for smallpox vaccinations .

    I do not any more as I have a Thai bank account. But the fact remains that Thai banks are charging where other countries banks do not

    Machines are cheaper than humans in a bank . If you can not see that I give up. I have exchanged money from a ATM machine in many countries and never met the charge Thailand banks charge

    What your point ? You are talking of interest rates of 40 years back. Now the rates are on the increase . ATM charges for foreigners to obtain there own money from abroad is a fraud . Time for a change

    I am sure my partner will not be the most wealthy after I am gone but will not be the poorest either. Will also no how to work and preserve her assets . Over and out

    Nothing to do with being thrifty . More to do with priorities. I spend money on the business to enable the Thai partner to have good income and independence . Of course you live your life how you will as I will too.

    ATM machines save banks money . Less staff required less banks needed . The same applies to internet banking

    The car parts king would i believe help the young people in Thailand . That is where the party is getting there support . Would the party help the poor ? I do think they would reduce the spending on defense and distribute more to the people in need . That would most probably create a further coup .

    I can live on 13000 baht for living expenses . Because you receive say 50 thousand baht does not mean you must spend it all to avoid being called a skinflint . My statement on Thailand becoming more expensive to live was based on if the Thai Government increased taxes to pay pensionists a livable income . Not how much a condo with a swimming pool will cost .

    The western political parties have become closer with there policies over the years . Here in Thailand there would be a redistribution of wealth if the people's vote was allowed to stand . Sadly I suspect that will not be allowed to happen.

    I think there is going to be a large swing to the reform parties at the next election . Look at the the way people of Bangkok voted for the mayor position . Question is will the peoples vote be eliminated as in the last election . The future party with 20 percent of the vote was eliminated quickly .

    Socialism has become a dirty word in many countries over the past 30 years . Often the media paint a picture that is not real . Rupert Murdock and his empire comes to mind . Therefore the present Australian labour party has not much chance of making real change . One has to look back at what happened to the Whitlam government to understand Australia .

    A lot will depend on the next general election concerning the next eight years . If the result of the election takes many months as before I would say there will be little change .

    Australia is far more anti socialist than the united States . Now there is a Labor government that may even things up . I do not give much hope for that personally .
