The thief looked through the phone and found her pin number and then of course proceeded to remove cash from her account .

When i clean forgot the number i never tried using the card as i knew if i was wrong on the third time i would loose the card . When i used the wrong card i had tried twice and on the third try the card was retained . The practice of charging for getting your card back seems wrong what ever the charge .

I forgot my pin code and went to the Bangkok Bank with the ATM card for changing the number . I was informed that that is not possible . You need to purchase a new card and pay 100 baht . Nothing else i could do but comply . One other occasion I put in the wrong numbers as i was confusing the number with a second card I have from the same bank . The ATM machine kept the card . I go to the bank and explained where and what ATM this happened . I was then told again you have to buy a new card for 100 baht I am somewhat surprised by this charge . Do all Thai banks do the same ?
