  1. That sounds like a constant pressure pump and he shouldn't really mess with it. I just fitted one recently when my old one sprung a leak on the tank. The new pump gave a higher pressure which was a great improvement to the showers and for the wash basins etc I just partially closed the on/off valves underneath each outlet in the bathrooms, the kitchen was ok.
  2. There was a misleading statement in one of the intial replies but it would appear you are not concerned about misleading information being posted.
  3. Says it all, misleading language has become too readily accepted as we see on a daily basis.
  4. The recent incident was in South Korea and the a/c was coming in to land, less than 1000 ft if I remember right. The media have a lot to answer for using the term "mid flight" The doors are designed to open inwards and are held in place by the pressure differential, cannot be opened by human intervention, only structural failure. An open door at low altitude would be dangerous for those adjacent but not catastrophic like mid flight.
  5. Exactly. In the early 70s I used to go on detachment to Sardinia with the RAF and the driving there was much worse than Thailand. I had to drive through Cagliari on a daily basis and preferred the 3 toner to the mini. People are quick to condemn but the motor vehicle did not evolve in Thailand like it did in many western countries, by the time it became readily available to the population here it was already a killing machine. That lack of evolvement led to a lack of regulation and education in it's use. When it comes to personal safety everything should be kept in perspective, last year about 14K road deaths in Thailand compared to over 40K deaths due to gun crime in the US.
  6. That is not true, there have been many reports of the embassy asking for further information or clarification, including myself and as indicated in the post that followed yours.
  7. Yes indeed unruly passengers can be dangerous but to suggest the doors can be opened "mid flight" is an unwarranted exaggeration. The doors can only be opened when the pressure inside and outside is equal, in other words flying relatively slowly close to the ground.
  8. They should do, onward travel was never required before. Unfortunately nothing can ever be said with certainty and I have only done Non O with one way ticket. Maybe someone who has done it will help you out.
  9. Good point, I also use an adblocker.
  10. Yes they deal with visas and you cannot get a 12 month extension of stay unless you have an appropriate visa, of course you are free to think what you want.
  11. I don't think immigration can convert B to O, they sent me to MFA, but as you say the pandemic created unusual situations. I had to turn my ME Non O into a 12 month extension with a further 5 months remaining.
  12. The E-visa platform was put together to cover a variety of visas and some questions are not always applicable, but you may have wanted the visa to visit family. Unfortunately it is a feature of the process that you must answer every question. I would suggest you write on a piece of paper something to the effect that you are only visiting as a tourist, take a photo and upload that. Those in possession of a visa shouldn't need an onward ticket, only those on visa exempt. If there does happen to be any query over the ticket you can say you plan to travel overland to a neighbouring country.
  13. Bit annoying. What I have noticed last few times is that when it happens there is a box among the topics on RH side with letters "ad" inside. Assumed it was advertising but if you click on it nothing happens, but could be links to ads that freeze the panel.
  14. That wasn't the view of the MFA but at the end of the day it is always the view of the man with the stamp that counts.
  15. Yes fair point. Your OP did indicate a reluctance to accept the application and I made the response before I realised there was a second page. When I saw that you had made an application I was about to go back and delete my post but decided to leave it for info. The line from the MFA was that work extensions should be on a B and marriage/retirement on an O. Fairly obvious that many immigration offices have taken a different view. Hope it works out and as someone else said once you get the under consideration, almost cast in stone.
  16. No it won't. You may well need a new visa. Unless I have missed it you haven't said what type of visa you have been using to get previous extensions. If you have been using type B then Korat may have taken the view that you cannot extend that visa type to marriage. It is an office interpretation and happened to me a few years back. People on here said immigration was wrong but the visa office in MFA said they were right. If however your last visa was Non O marriage then there shouldn't be any problem. Good luck.
  17. Selective memory or guilty conscience. Only the delusional would think that a few situations comes anywhere near the scale of US interference in other countries affairs over the years.
  18. You are not getting it, I never had any problem. You can pontificate all you want but if everything was as free and easy as you want to make out then this thread would never have come about.
  19. Hardly the same Bill, not seen much in the way of Russian and Chinese troops being deployed around the world.
  20. Historically the US has interfered in the affairs of other countries off it's own back, generally without success, That must come to an end. If there is to be any comment of intervention in the affairs of other countries it should come from a global entity and not a vigilante. Irresponsible statements could damage the Thai economy more than the pandemic.
  21. People have been saying that for the last 25 years, in last 15 years average about 32. There was a significant fall in first part of last year, that just fizzled out. Those that think they have crystal balls always use indeterminate phrases like "long run" so they never come to pass.
  22. No it can't, unless you are happy to be without any updates.
  23. In other words it became a workaround. Just like the OP I had an issue with the workaround media creation tool, but I resolved it myself.
  24. You are wrong there is no bypass. All Microsoft has said is you can install on a unsupported processor but there will be no updates. I will be pushing up daisies before Win 11 updates are insignificant.
  25. Unless I am mistaken the OP was about the downloaded media tool not working. That being the case why not go out and buy one.
