Tourists Decry ATK Requirement at Piers to Samet Island
Pmbkk replied to snoop1130's topic in Eastern Thailand
It's a bit like saying Swiss banks are used for money laundering - everyone knows it .....???? -
Yellow house book requires long term visa
Pmbkk replied to thaibook's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I have a yellow book, pink card etc. I've never had a long term visa. My wife is Thai and we own an apartment and I got a yellow book within an hour with no issues I believe we had to have a witness. This was Bangkok. -
Complete rubbish.... Where's the link to 16%. How do they get a bank account without a valid BRP. My missus has a few accounts and she had to show her VALID BRP for each one. They get free COVID vaccines and treatment at A & E ( not for routine surgery ) unless they have paid the health surcharge I suggest you go back to reading the fictional Express and Mail & worshiping Farage.

I own a number of places I rent out in CBD Bangkok. I've stayed in service apartments in BKK when working. My advice would be, unless you're buying a freehold to locate & build a family. is to very, very firmly RENT. That's not because I rent out places, it's based on what I would do now - and will do.

Don't forget you can do it online - that is if you're not ????

Test & Go (2x RT-PCR)
Pmbkk replied to ThaiVisaCentre's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I think the day 5 test is madness, however, you're saying the day 5 test can be taken up-country. Reason I ask is my wife wants to visit her parents straight after T&G day one - get a hotel near the airport, then fly to Ubon, not wait around for 5 days in BKK. Is that possible last time we looked we couldn't get to Ubon on T&G route. -
Cheers, useful info'

So nobody applied for an ILR in the last year ?
-
Thanks for that. I'll update this thread with our route/time frames. Scheduled to submit Monday. If there are other groups please PM me them so my missus can check them out if they're not allowed to be listed here. We will go fast-track if possible so I'll add those details too. Cheers P

The basic application - excluding BRP, fast-track etc, is actually £2389

How to take money out of Thailand?
Pmbkk replied to Confuscious's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
We use https://www.deemoney.com/ to transfer money. Simple to set-up and use via app to Europe. Not been back for nearly 2 yrs but there was a place on the corner of Suk' 8 in Bkk. -
Hi We're applying this week for ILR in Croydon/London. We'll be doing it via ISA savings ( anybody doing this method I'd like welcome input ). The normal period they say is up to 6 months. The Fast-track is £800+ for a day or two service. I'm willing to pay this as we've not been back for nearly 2 years and my wife wants to see her family - her gran is frail. Has anyone experience of either normal or fast-track option in the last year re date of applications and receipt of ILR ? Cheers P

UK Set(M) - Aka ILR - Question(s)
Pmbkk replied to globalThailand's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
My wife mentioned line groups & reasoning, not by name and not too detailed e.g. work, family Don't forget social media is easily searched & checked so don't put anything down that could contradict the application and can be easily checked. Cheers -
e visa might take more than 45 days !!!
Pmbkk replied to geisha's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
So your paying for flight tickets - then applying for visas and then awaiting to apply for the Thai pass ( 1 day hotel ) etc before you know if you can even go?
