  1. I'm about your height and 88K now(I blame covid) & their XXL V-neck black t-shirts are the best ! That's your goal - I do believe they do a XXXL ! In the UK you tend to only be able to order them online(pick up in store if you wish), so order an XXXL and aim to fit into it.
  2. Same thing is happening in Russia - let corruption run rife and don't question !!!
  3. It could severely complicate matters if foreign "soldiers" are captured by the Russians. It would give Putin the "ammunition" ???? needed to say NATO was getting involved which could escalate mattes greatly.
  4. And you have the time to comment on it on your busy schedule... Kettle and Black - much like your pathetic comment ????
  5. That could be just your interpretation. I think the youngsters might have another idea - 2 years deprived - they'll be out in force(probably with their parents blessing) ????
  6. That should be straight forward. Don't forget you have to do the ThaiPass so they recommend 7 days after you've uploaded your docs & applied ( obv this may change )
  7. Are they taking their announcement advice/briefing notes from TAT....????
  8. TAT announces huge demand for hotels in Phuket and Krabi from everywhere in the world has forced Russians out of the market....
  9. I don't know what your asking for, however I think you know the answer. Cut all ties now. No more money, no more contact - don't even be tempted to answer calls/texts! Come back and enjoy yourself away from her and enjoy Thailand again trouble free.
  10. This is similar to my application. Was very straight forward, we had no issue with the Amphur. One witness(real estate agent as it was during work time) and I got the yellow book & pink card at the same time. Whole operation was around an hour. Asked my wife questions, I don't believe he asked me anything. Was actually with the main guy for probably 5-10 mins. At the time I had a visa for doing consultancy work for 3 months, which I renewed - no one year work permit, retirement or marriage visa etc. I was actually married to a Thai. Mine was in Sathon(BKK) - Yannawa - behind the large Tesco.
  11. That is a pathetic bench based on the monies spent...
  12. No, it isn't. I see your Mummy brought you up on the right-wing Express and Mail... Now be a good boy and go and read your comics.. BTW - Princess Diana is still dead - saves you a few years more reading..
  13. I'd be careful about that. Once you've paid certain landlords would dawdle at best to fix issues - esp' later in the tenancy. I rent out apts in Bangkok. The agent usually takes one months rental in my experience. I agree, go to a proper agent and not just some women you met in a pub. If you know and trust the vendor then obv' you can save the agent's commission by going direct. If you meet them and say they are foreign/from your home country and you can converse it maybe easier. I've bought a large condo in central CBD direct from the American owner - saved me 15% on what he was asking. I trusted the guy as I knew what he did and why he was selling.
  14. Can you use them as a source of income - Issan is big on bug protein.
  15. In Pattaya they should just have forced him to eat in the restaurant - punishment enough ????
  16. My wife did it, from booking a hotel room( Day1+Day5 was required as she landed 28/2), submitting her ThaiPass application, confirming with the hotel it had been submitted to receiving the successful application QR code took 3 hours. She started at 9.am. ( UK ) and she'd received the successful QR code by noon. So it can be very fast.. Note: My wife is Thai so no insurance doc needed to be attached.
  17. Glad to see all the old SAS guys are out in force with their old torture techniques .. ????
  18. I tested Covid + at the start of this(no symptoms - but the missus did ). Four weeks later I was asked to do another test ( ONS/NHS ) and I tested positive again(no symptoms) even though I'd hardly left the house after the initial positive test. The missus tested negative. If you're clear now by late April you should be fine. Just get one of the NHS test kits and test.
  19. Thank yourself lucky they're not seagulls ???? The missus and I were walking along Brighton seafront last year & the missus was eating her Fish and Chips - she was attacked from every angle. She couldn't believe how aggressive they were. I think it's where old Alf got his idea for the Birds - just the PG version ????
  20. I believe it's probably the hotel not wanting to refund the hotel stay. My wife did mention to them that other hotels e,g, ALOFT were refunding Day-5 hotel/pcr costs, however they said they haven't been informed to cancel Day-5 tests. I believe there is an article in the "paper that should not be mentioned" stated that hotels, hospitals are urged to give travelers refunds for Day-5, but the government will not mandate it.
  21. My wife returned Sunday ( 28th ) She did her PCR test at the hotel and all negative. However the hotel is insisting she still has to return & stay at the hotel on Day-5 and do a further PCR test, I've read others mention they've been told not required whilst some are - no consistency it seems.
  22. My wife arrived at 12.10 p.m today ( 28th ) Thai time. She has been informed she must still do the day-5 Hotel stay/PCR test.
  23. There has been many reports of people having issues with their banks when informing them of staying out of the country more time than in. This maybe bank specific. If possible, my advice would be not to rock the boat and tell them nothing.
