    I've made around 20 mail order purchases and never seen this. The worst I could complain about is small buds in a couple of orders.

    More to do with ignorance and dishonesty IMHO. All the seeds I've ever purchased in Thailand weren't as claimed. The Thais also tend to copy names of well known foreign strains and claim that's what they're selling. As for growing your own ....... not worthwhile when @ca08 are selling for 30-40bht/gm.

    Maybe you're confusing them by asking for a VISA, A VISA is permission to enter a country, once in the country you get 2 month extensions of stay. My pals used the agents in the main road of Barretto.

    10kbht got me repaired for 5 broken ribs, broken clavicle, collapsed lung, various cuts and bruises, and now a month of physiotherapy. Still got 20kbht left in credit from my government minimum m/c insurance. I was wearing a decent helmet though. Better off spending the money on helmet, gloves and protective clothing IMHO.

    All my pals used a local agent for extensions, no big fees like Thailand. I've been there about 10x and never had a VISA, always liked to stay In Barretto, on Baloy Long beach. Plenty of houses, apartments, guesthouses to rent, lots of places to eat, German, English, Australian, Mexican. Clean beaches and clear water.

    At 30-40bht/gm it's cheaper to buy than to grow myself. Not sure about any environmental impact, I used sun and lamps powered by solar = ZERO impact. And I can't see how growing weed is any more harmful to the environment than growing tomatoes! I seriously doubt there will be any significant changes to the cannabis law in Thailand.

    I've no idea what landlords do ......... but there's nothing to stop a foreigner renting. There's no problem getting extensions of stay in PI, but after 3 years you need to leave for at least 1 night.

    You just turn up and can stay for 3 years, extensions cost around $30/month. After your 2nd extension they provide an ID card that allows you to open a bank account. No problems renting.

    Day of expiry you get a notification on your phone in Thai, "top up your credit by 1,890bht before midnight to get another year". And that's what you do, no options to choose, if the money is there they just take it.
