  1. Surprise there's no 'COVID will kill us all' predictions. Seems the governments are no longer worried by that (and perhaps they never were).
  2. I buy these from Decathlon, free next day delivery Last better than Nike and Reebok. And the soles don't fall off. 2 year guarantee. 1,800bht https://www.decathlon.co.th/en/p/8513387/trail-running-shoes/xt7-trail-running-shoes-for-men-blue-and-bronze
  3. If you're frightened of a disease and have had the vaccine, how can my choices (for or against) affect your health?
  4. More to do with location than vaccination status IMHO. Reading the article ......... "There have been recent outbreaks in countries as diverse as Ethiopia, India, Tajikistan and Poland."
  5. 'They' obviously forgot about ww1 and ww2, not to mention the UK rationing which ended in 1954. IMHO now is the best time ever to be alive in the history of man. Even as recent as 2010 it wasn't as good, TV was limited, satellite was expensive and books were on paper you had to buy.
  6. Invalidating your 25 year guarantee ...........
  7. You're wrong, it's all been caused by global warming.
  8. You just told everyone your gender! Back to the OP, Most of the Thais around me seem to use the hanging nets. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/grace3-5-i3072340796-s11273079348.html
  9. As you get older you realise nothing you were told about the world was true. I would say, negativity increasing with age, is more to do with experience and disappointment. As for the article ...... mostly BS IMHO. "Why do seniors complain so much even though they have people working hard to make their lives easier?" No 'people' ever worked to make my old age easier, unless I paid them.
  10. Would point out the PV panels come with MC4 connectors already fitted, so nothing you buy will be connected together.
  11. Like @Crossy, no special tools required just use what you have around the house. If you're building your own battery packs maybe a wire stripper and soldering iron.
  12. I used to get my servants (aka my wife) to bring me breakfast in bed.
  13. It's cheaper for the employers to pay overtime than to employ the right number of staff. There's no other reason this happens. I remember once after working 13 days in a row (not unusual), my manager got angry because I wanted to not work overtime on the 14th day (Sunday) so I could see my wife and kids.
  14. Tulsa King is great, Sly Stallone as a 75yo mafia guy that just got out of jail after a 25 year stretch. So far it's as good as 'Breaking Bad', and better than 'Boardwalk Empire'.
  15. It's against the law to have sex outside in the UK, even if it's in your own private garden or estate.
  16. I'd assume it was being 'drop shipped' from China and was beyond the control of the local Lazada seller.
  17. Best to buy from the UK seed suppliers then nobody will know.
  18. Me too! Sadly their lives were equally bleak before Brexit. One of the reasons they voted to leave the EU was they were hoping for change. As that News guy (Jonathan Pie) used to say, A vote for Brexit was a vote for a change. A vote to remain was a vote for no change.
  19. How dare these foreigners besmirch the reputation of Pattaya as a family holiday resort.
  20. He sold a lot of stock to buy Twitter. When someone dumps a load of shares the price drops, that's how shares work.
  21. Always amazed the western power system has become so fragile. Same in the UK last week, bit of cold weather and off goes the electricity.
