Which destination my girlfriend and I should go?
BritManToo replied to WanderlustJoy's topic in Bangkok
If you want to go sight-seeing without breaking the bank. Hanoi wins hands own. Boat trip in Halong Bay Train and then hire bicycles (just outside the station) then cycle to Ninh Binh and Tam Coc for the lake and cave rowing trip. Walking food tour. Walking cultural tour. Even the lake in the centre of Hanoi is nice.. -
Amazed that you think that's wrong! The people that make our societies work deserve a little in return. But as it is the people that contribute nothing (entertainment, sports, lawyers, et al) take the most. And would point out most of the job losses in the west went to societies that aren't either free or competitive. China and Vietnam make almost everything these days. I'm with Karl on this, those that do all the manufacturing/construction/infrastructure/food production work should reap the rewards of their labour. Trump may be a con man, but at least he pretends to represent the common man. Unlike the crooked globalist candidates.

Ten waterfalls worth visiting during the rainy season
BritManToo replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Lots of waterfalls close in monsoon as too dangerous. I remember swimming in one near Petchabun when the rangers gathered us all up and escorted us out as it was raining upstream. -
Social life and dating in Thailand

Best I got back home was a 5, out here in SEA I'm having 8s,9s and an occasional 10. And the ladies here were all considerably cheaper (not to mention smaller) and more loving than my 4s and 5s back home. -
Social life and dating in Thailand

He didn't state the age or looks of the women though. In fact, it's a common theme of all the guys wanting or claiming to have free women. We never get to see what their free women look like! -

Social life and dating in Thailand
BritManToo replied to SomeFarang's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Not if they have dark skin or are the shape of a buffalo ............. You'd also need to define 'decent Thai men', most of the wealthier Thai guys I've encountered gamble, have mia noi's, go to dodgy karaoke places, carry guns, beat their wives, etc. -

Why Montana kids are suing the state over climate change
BritManToo replied to onthedarkside's topic in World News
Montana should turn off all the fossil fuel power plants and see how the kids like that! -
For when? You don't seem to understand this is very time sensitive, and potentially lethal. 1 day could be the difference between full recovery and having to cut half your face off.

Foreigners Rounded Up In Surat Thani Crackdown
BritManToo replied to webfact's topic in Southern Thailand News
I've never told anyone my business, not even my woman. I never show my passport or allow it to be seen by civilians. When back in the UK I deny I have a passport to everyone, not their business. The trick to being a criminal, is to not speak to anyone about it. I don't even give out my real name. You'd have to be stupid to let anyone know you were breaking any rules of any kind. So your 'knowingly harbouring' is in effect nonsense. -
Foreigners Rounded Up In Surat Thani Crackdown

If friends come to stay with you, do you first ask to see their passport, check their Visa, then report to immigration? What about a girl that sleeps over, do you check she's a Thai citizen, etc.? How about motoring offences, do you report pals you see, drink driving, speeding, tax, ins, dl? Once you start being a nark, where do you draw the line? -
Foreigners Rounded Up In Surat Thani Crackdown
BritManToo replied to webfact's topic in Southern Thailand News
So far, Cambodia is easy, stay as long as you like, did need $25 to enter. Philippines is easier, 30 days on arrival, stay for 3 years. Vietnam, very easy for Brits, 14 days on arrival. Laos was easy, did need $25 to enter. Malaysia really easy, 3 months on arrival. China was easier than expected, but I did need to apply for $25 VISA in advance. I don't consider Thailand as easiest in the world for tourists. -

This sounds a bit excessive.
