    I've got 7kWhr of battery, runs out for about 7 days in the year. Monsoon is wetter, but the sun is higher (so charges quicker). I have the same 5kW VM2 inverter, cheap as chips (13kbht inc wifi) and works well. If the guy adds a small generator, he'll be fine all year round.

    Loads of Chinese businessmen hire hookers from brothels. Indians tend to shop on beach road to avoid the bar fines. Not sure how I would pick Russians out of the crowds of white men in bars. Don't know what that has to do with the OP. Can't see normal tourists having much to do with hookers in either Vietnam or Thailand, not that there's any shortage in either country.

    I live with my parents, then 3 years at university alone. After that I was living with a woman, with a total of couple of months alone between relationships. So 67 - 3 = 64 years of not being alone. PS. Same from my Brit wife during divorce "You will be a lonely old man" It's almost like they're reading from a script. She was wrong, I was living with a young Thai woman while being divorced.

    IMHO decent (and attractive) Thai women don't interact with old foreign men.

    Agree with you on the exploitation. But my life in Thailand is about as perfect as I could imagine. Kids happy, pets happy, house nice, pension enough, woman still in good shape for her age.

    Nonsense, no need at all to learn their feudal culture. I only interact with other male Brits, and Thai women I'm interested in some private time with. I couldn't be happier with my life here.

    I learned to always travel alone. No need to take your wife with you, plenty of available women everywhere you go. Wife stays at home and looks after the house/kids/pets.

    Marriage Visa is 5 years for 50usd, much more convenient than Thailand.

    As a Brit I get 14 days waiver on arrival. Which is long enough for real tourists.

    IMHO Vietnam is a far better place or tourists to visit. Nicer beaches, cleaner sea, cheaper booze, more to see.

    Don't think the lines from my panels to my house are long enough to worry about it. More of a concern to the MEA/PEA though.

    Agreed! My best advice to the OP, cut your losses, walk away, make more kids with a nicer woman. You're still young enough to do it.

    Thought you were a Christian? I was a Christian, then my wife divorced me and I was no longer a Christian (divorce prohibited). Guess life is easier for those with flexible morality.
