We are not talking about grass. The photo that the OP showed is, as I said earlier more like cane and it will not burn even when cut. From your latest photo you are a city farmer, we do not have 6 ft fences out here..

You are an idiot if you think you can cut that stuff with plastic. The OP still does not have the right blade to cut that stuff, he needs one similar to a circular saw and even then it is difficult. That advice from years of experience As to getting rid of that type, it is like cane, not grass when it grows, all of the roots need to be dug out and there will still be some left that sprout again.

Cataract Operation - Good to know information?
If yo pay 200K you have too much money. There are many that range from 30k to 60K. Just make sure you ask plenty of questions on how many the surgeon does. If he is not doing them weekly find some one else. I have had one go wrong by an inexperienced doctor but the second one was no problem by a doctor that was doing them nearly every day.

Internet on pc out in the countryside
Yes, used one of those for a couple of years as 3BB would only connect fibre if there were 5 subscribers. Not the best speeds but will be okay for the short time you are there.

7-Eleven in Thailand Reports Record Income of 399 Billion Baht in 2023
That might explain the differences in Lay's over the last year. Originally 50 gm packet for 20 baht then 42 gm for 20 baht then 42 gm for 22 baht now 48 gm for 20 baht Must have realised a 16% reduction in volume plus a 10% price increase was making too much profit.

Retirement homes Thailand
There are care homes on Samui too. Had friends in one, fairly basic but they were happy, not too expensive but the private hospitals are if you need them.

A message for Kerry, Flash etc. etc.
I have only had the problem with Kerry, probably 50% of the time. Flash are never a problem, but that might be because we live just outside the village of the courier.

Thai Government plans digital shift for lottery sales
You have no idea. If a legal bookie accepts a wager of 100 to 1 he will pay you 101 as you say. The illegal bookies running the illegal lottery only pay 50 to1 (Samui) or 60 to1 uphere for what is a 100 to 1 chance on the 2 numbers. Go and ask them.

Not for the government lottery and the sanctioned horse racing tracks.

Mate. your wife is having a lend of you. No bookie pays 10000 for a 100 investment where the odds are 100 to 1, they have to have a margin. She is probably telling you she puts 100 on when it is really 200 to get the 10000.
