  1. No problem with the Chinese people other than the sheer number of them. Definately enjoying the last few years more with fewer of them around. If over a billion Americans were a two hour flight away from Bangkok, it would probably be even worse. Events I go to have many fewer westerners at them than pre-covid. The westerners never overwhelmed tourist attractions , 7-Elevens... in the way the Chinese can make a simple visit to a restaurant a miserable experience because of how many of them there are.
  2. Happens all the time but I assume not in your circles. Most of what I see when in farang party areas is exactly what you see.
  3. Same here but do like them all. I have the same habits with friends also.
  4. Seems like you are not doing anything wrong. Just keep at it. Finding a keeper is probably more luck than skill for most. Look at all the relationships in your group of friends and I bet there are only one or two that are what you would want. Even if you find what you want it will probably end badly but just keep at it and try to have some fun.
  5. Nothing unique about Thailand and the same sentiment applies to most countries. It definitely is harder but if the women has game she can still get successful Thai men. I think you are applying your logic to bar girls and not regular Thai women.
  6. Think you are being sarcastic 🙂 Not sure what you are getting at.
  7. You call them on other days? Maybe your family is a miserable group or possibly you. You strike me as the friendless type but you really don't care which is fine. Different but whatever works...
  8. Sounds logical but have my serous doubts in reality it holds up. If houses were cement, wouldn't there be less to burn in a neighborhood? Also, I would bet in most cases brush fires that as you state reach 1100c don't cause the furniture within the home to combust. My bet is a neighbor hood with cement homes would be MUCH better off than wood. Insurance actuaries already have grasped this...
  9. That might explains why my no redirects settings are only working on my Samsung tablet. It isn't new and is running Android 11. The websites are still able to determine it is a tablet and can force me to use the app by restricting links as Shopee does but only a few sites are foolish enough to do that and lose a customer.
  10. I agree but I can avoid most of the above polutants. I now live in a place with a short burning season but wish during my travels during the nicest weather in Thailand the polution was not extremely unhealthy. Chiang Mai would be perfect the next few months but is a no go area for me.
  11. Yes, already discussed. Not having the app is a work around. Problem being is that many sites force you to download the app to proceed.
  12. You are so wrong. Do you travel in Thailand? Some areas are ok during the burning season and others where the burning is happening are terrible. Im on long road trip now and the crap is not being blown in from other countries. Yes polution travels but most of the polution in Thailand is created locally.
  13. Think that has been discussed already. I buy a ton online and having to copy paste each review is a pain. I get it, you have told us before on this forum you like the lazada app. I do not and avoid it when possible. To each his own :)
  14. I need the app at times. For example, apps that pair with heart rate data. Can not do this using their website. Browser settingss don not stop the behaviour as previously stated. The video you attached for example does not stop the redirect to the app. Thanks for the recomendations.
  15. Thanks but doesn't work. It just stops opening links to apps not installed on your phone. Tried this before and was sure it was the fix. Just tried again and Lazada web site immediately redirect and this time even before it allowed me to login at the website. I give up 🙂 Just going to use an old tablet that seems to not be redirecting.
  16. I found an old Android 11 tablet and Lazada does work well enough with the Chrome browser. Thanks for the input which forced me to look for an older Android version. This will my short trip travel tablet!
  17. Doesn't even allow me use the browser on Android 15 and automatically sends me to the app if I click on any link. Just tried it on my old Samsung tablet with Samsung's browser. All good!!!! Well, not really. Samsung's browser doesn't translate Thai - 555. At least I know it is probably Chrome that is causing the issue. Now I need to find a browser with a good translate extension.
  18. I can log into lazada also on the three android devices I have in front of me at the moment. The issue is all three will redirect me to the app. Usually immediately or within a few clicks at the browser app. This has happened with all my previous android devices and my friends devices that I checked. Strange yours doesn't do this but you have no reason to fib 🙂 Maybe it is a browser issue which is Chrome in my case? What are you using?
  19. Not sure about Apple and don't want to spend 20k on a tablet I will only us on weekend trips. Like yourself, I can also use a browser but am immediately redirected to the application. I'm a data freak 🙂 Apps are simple and limit the data in the majority of the cases to create a more user friendly interface. Maybe just deleting the apps on my tablet would work for many but I did this years ago and certain sites forced you to download the app.
  20. Yes he is extremely challenged in those characteristics. Gives a person pause when reflecting why so many support him, including myself. I have no doubt libs will be back on top and might happen before the next election cycle. Too much over reaching and nutty libs that somehow became the face of the democratic party.
  21. I take short trips quite often and would rather just take a tablet but I don't want to be "forced" to use android apps vs a browser. Sites redirect to the application and their are no options to stop this from occurring. Many apps are extremely limiting and it seems they always omit the info I need that is easily obtained using Chrome or whatever other browser. My exercise apps are basically worthless and even using Shopee or Lazada is a pain because the apps don't translate reviews (read many three star reviews ) before buying anything on Thai shopping sites. Copying and pasting each review into a translate app becomes tedious. Hence I bring my laptop on all my trips. Any ideas?
  22. Perspective creates reality? I think I remember you being around 75 but seems you have many more serious medical issues than most. If I survived your issues, I'm sure I would have a different opinion in regards to the medical profession. Happy for you! I've always been healthy, minus a few terrible accidents, and have found most my doctor visits worthless. Someday it is highly probable that a doctor will extend my life or ease the pain at the end. I do respect the profession but rely on my own diagnosis much more than a doctor.
  23. Sorry, I don't understand. You had several medical interventions?
  24. Think it is a good thing we don't easily move past Jan 6. Was it a major threat to our democracy, probably not, but what fools. 99% of conservatives would never participate in such utter idiocy.
  25. I got aroused a little. Condoleezza Rice was more my thing.
