  1. Probably some truth to that but I would be embarrassed to be on a Harley. If you feel it is cool then that is really all that matters.
  2. Those little screens are addictive and put you in a state of always looking for the next high. Settled down in a tiny town on the Mekong river at the beginning of the Covid lockdown. I would take a bunch of kids to the Mekhong and swim and cliff dive. We all had a blast but now four years later those same kids are addicted to those tiny screens and most aren't happy it seems. The kids are harmless and easy to manage but is that really living! I'll take a kid that is throwing rocks at cars and lighting things on fire vs a zombie smart phone addict that is a complete bore.
  3. You're comparing your relationship here to relationships back in the UK. Don't partners in The UK share funds? I would bet there are many women that do get a salary/budget every month. So you came here at 22 and married a Thai. First, 22 must have been a good time and wish I was here before my early thirties. Most expats here make much more than their partners and as happens in the UK, end up supporting their partners. Many of my friends fully support their wife back in the USA financially even though the wife is fully capable of working. If you were the exception and didn't make more than your wife, then not supporting her makes complete sense. If you made much more, like most here do, then not supporting her financially would be strange and selfish?
  4. I don't but understand why many should. This isn't the west and the majority of older parents are supported by children in some manner. That is the system here and ignoring it could be quite cruel IMO. in my first long term relation here the parents were dead. Current woman has her own money but if she fell on hard times I wouldn't hesitate helping out.
  5. Perfect! Why can't they understand that the other side isn't stupid and deplorable?
  6. Really? The democratic accepts dissent? I'm a moderate and just can't get myself worked up about political agendas but what did rile me the last 4 years was democrats not accepting alternative ideas. I've personally been been ganged up on by liberals for simply questioning liberal beliefs to the point I decided to support Trump. Democrats need to start doing what is right and stop telling others how they should think. This Mike Keaton video exemplifies the segment of the democratic party that disgusts many voters and probably you too.
  7. Fair enough but what is the trend over the last 5-10 years? I think you would agree that there are many variables that have a large impact on ICE and EV sales. You can pick cherry pick a geographic region or a period of time but that is disingenuous. Car sales are down in 2024 as a whole( EV numbers are slightly up), no EV incentives, and the economy is struggling just to name a few variables. Passenger car sales in Thailand have had huge swings over the last 2 decades. Some years dropping 20% yet EV sales are still growing ( not by much ) this year when ICE sales down substantially. Car manufacturing was down ~ 17% the first 6 months of this year! I'm still not convinced EVs will dominate the passenger car market in the coming decades but is sure seems likely. When EVs have 600-1000 km range as the norm, they are cheaper, and the charging network improves, do you really think ICE will be the vehicle of choice for most (not all) buyers? I force myself to look at the EV revolution with doubt. There is quite a bit of positive data but will the current batteries last 10-20 years? I like real world ownership data and at this point that isn't available. I decided on an entry level EV and still have my truck. The truck is great to load up with trash but that is all I use it for now. The EV is free to drive and now I drive MUCH more because it is free. Camping will be great during the heat of the day when I can draw 3000 watts from the car to run an AC and power electroncis. Already have a LFP battery and don't need PEA but if shtt happens with my system I have a car that could power my house for days. Down the road I'm sure there will be things that need to be replaced but so far it has been a wonderful experience. I have too much time on my hands to ramble 🙂
  8. I'm sure your numbers are correct and definitely a buyer's market if you are not in a rush. The numbers I posted were from the article the poster I replied to linked. Used cars are even a better deal IMO.
  9. Not a banner year for the auto industry. As stated in the article car manufacturing is down 17% but on the bright side the article states a slight growth of about 5% for EVs. In this environment it is surprising EV manufacturing is still expected to increase. I thought Thailand EV sales would surely drop without the incentives and the slow economy.
  10. I think he is right about LFP batteries. Just beat them up within reason and by the time they might go bad, there will be much better battery tech at lower prices. I charge my LFP batteries to 100% everyday with solar and at that low charge rate the damage is minuscule for LFP. Bigger risk to charge to 80% and letting your batterie cells get out of balance. Hence the Tesla recommendation to 100% charge their LFP EVs.
  11. Agree, seems like a grifter. Still watch some of his videos though. Just take everything with a grain of salt.
  12. He was convicted and hasn't been sentenced and probably will never be. I seriously doubt Trump is losing any sleep over it. Silly IMO to deny he was convicted but as I stated earlier it isn't important. It was a petty crime and won't have any impact on his ability to lead.
  13. Get your point but you seem to missed mine 🙂 Cheers
  14. OK, you are being pathetic. I posted what you stated and here it is again below. You are obviously are referring to Maga supporters and hoping for bad things to happen. Weird how you are determined to convince us "now" that you are only referring to Giuliani, etc. You are an angry individual and the sad thing is you have no idea of the type of person you are. I see a lot of Trump's bad side in you. Your statement: A shining example of the reasoning of the MAGAn's with their web of lies to protect their deity. Sadly they consider it entertainment. A sham of a political organization that feels no shame. One by one their towering pillars (Giuliani, Jones,Ellis, Chesebro,Clark,Eastman) of lies come crashing down. I've sworn off most sweets but the coming tsunami of just deserts appears irresistible.
  15. I live close to the border and if you plan on visiting Simon, you are welcome at my place. My spare room has gym equipment in it but we can set you up on a blowup mattress beside the treadmill. I'm a little odd so you should feel right at home here.
  16. Come on dude. That was dishonest and you know it. Below is the first part of the post you made that you omitted above. Is it really worth it? Get a grip and be a better man. "A shining example of the reasoning of the MAGAn's with their web of lies to protect their deity. Sadly they consider it entertainment. A sham of a political organization that feels no shame. "
  17. What crimes? Your earlier post that i was replying to was in regards to Trump supporters. Is that a crime?
  18. This not accurate. Historically they have given more to Republicans but that has flipped drastically since 2020 and Covid. Democrats now receive the bulk of the money. Hence the push by democrats to push drugs on the American public. Not saying that Republicans wouldn't do the same but stating the facts 🙂
  19. I've had lots of great sex but don't get what you are getting on about in regards to exploring. Every girl has different moves and vibes. I simply want her to be attractive and want me. That is all I need to have a wonderful experience and I don't feel the need to explore. I hear all the time about this exploring aspect but just can't relate. Sure there is something to it but sex to me has little to do with exploring. Can you give an example of your latest exploration? I'm open to trying...
  20. No and sorry - my bad. For some reason I thought you posted about other bad relationships.
  21. Because it is easy. The dire consequences come later. With that said, I know a few friends that are good judges of character and have had good relationships with the bar girl they chose. These guys are quality guys and I think that improves the odds of success substantially. Most men here with bar girls are flawed in many ways and their relationships are disasters.
  22. My issue with American divorced Moms, is that very few are attractive. I don't find them hard at all. I like your authentic posts but you are always applying your relationship disasters to relationships in general. That first wife really messed you up for decades. Long term bar girls are not the best relationship choice and how you don't see this is predictable I guess. You seem to have left a trail of hellish relationships back home and have little respect for women in general. I have had some great times with bar girls and even thought about getting serious a few times. They all ended in predictable ways.
  23. The profits aren't the issue IMO. Corporate greed is an easy target but if Big Pharma was breaking even in the USA the prices would still be many multiples higher than many countries in Europe.
  24. 100% agree Mr AI. I only wonder what is the "main" reason for the 7-10x price difference compared to some European countries.
  25. Usually Onemorefarang's posts are legit. I assume he is referring to gross profit margin but even so that would account for a tiny part of the 7-10x cost Americans pay vs the EU.
