  1. You don't respect your wife and she irritates you. In your situation, I would go have a fling. What is the downside? I seriously doubt it is an ethical issue. How many times have you slept around the last couple years?
  2. I have shelter and an abundance of food. At this point in my life both take no effort. Pleasure is also not too difficult to find. Pleasure seeking is fun but after a while ( decades for me 🙂 ) it became less enticing. I'm now doing things that aren't pleasurable in the moment because I anticipate they will provide long term satisfaction and more meaning. I think I'm on the right path for this phase of my life but only time will tell...
  3. Got agree with you on ^^^ What about the Korean War? Good TV show came out of it. Watched Mash reruns every night as a kid.
  4. I enjoy authentic posters like yourself! 23 years younger sounds challenging but depends on your age. Personally i find most women under 35 that are in demand, difficult to be around for more than a few hours. Not all but 99% of them 🙂 I've always liked older women that are extremely hot which definitely can be a challenge to find. Luckily I had nothing but time 🙂
  5. Hey - agree with you but 99% of expats I have met in Pattaya wouldn't be able to land this woman back in their home country and I bet that includes you. Maybe you're the exception but just stating the obvious. She has nice legs and the head isn't bad. The trunk has seen some use - probably a litter or two.
  6. That's cool! I had Thai friends also before Covid but moved to a small tourist (Thias) town and now I have none 😞 Do you speak Thai?
  7. Been drinking a little but gave this post some disjointed thought. The cost of locking them up for 20 years would be excessive and they would probably exit prison as a worse person when they entered. Why not just chop off the hand of the kid that used the knife and the thumbs of the accomplices? Little cost and definitely a deterrent.
  8. Wasting your time with Chomper. He simply doesn't comprehend economics and human nature. He just wants to let all of us know how concerned he is about the poor and my bet is he has never volunteered a minute of his time to truly help the needy.
  9. It really is quite simple and with a little research most can put together a plan that meets their needs better than most doctors. Your thermometer example above is exactly what I'm getting at. I wouldn't seek professional help but rather just lower the AC 🙂
  10. Sorry, read your post twice and not sure what your are you insinuating? In preferably one sentence tell me where I have misinformed. I'm far from perfect and definitely could have but it wasn't intentional 🙂
  11. It is what got Trump elected and therefore I get your dislike 🙂 I think I use the term in the wrong context quite often. For me the word is more attached to a culture and not a definition.
  12. I think you were never bothered by the wokeness? For some, like myself, it was a terrible experience and I felt it greatly restricted freedom of thought. It is all perspective and from yours it is something that is easily disregarded. I can respect your opinion but I feel moving past the wokeness that became increasingly aggressive and hateful is a mistake. BTW, I never thought you were fanatically woke but many were on this forum.
  13. Oh, interesting. You think wokeness wasn't insane in recent years? I get there is a place for being woke in society but the levels it reached were insane IMO.
  14. Over my head. Seriously explain what point you are making and I'm not being sarcastic.
  15. What were liberals doing about obesity and poor health other than promoting pharmaceutical remedies. My health 101 - get healthy. I remember on this forum that if you even hinted that healthy people were rarely having Covid issues, you were chased incessantly by vaccine is the savior crowd. I just want to be able to have an opinion that isn't popular and not be slammed by internet tyrants.
  16. In March of 2017, the Associated Press reported that the World Health Organization spent more for the travel of 7,000 staffers than it did for countering malaria, tuberculosis, fighting AIDS and hepatitis, and on tackling mental health and substance abuse. The agency is simultaneously demanding its budget be increased as it doesn’t seem to have enough money to fulfill its healthcare-providing role. Source: https://fee.org/articles/who-needs-the-who-not-the-world-s-poor/ Speaking for myself, a person that isn't wealthy, I would rather tear down these types of organizations and start building organizations that represent society as a whole. For example, a USA democratic party that truly represents the normal American would garner my interest. Trump to me is the best thing that has happened in decades and I think he can be a dipshttt. We might be able to rid our society of this woke insaneness and begin creating a better society. Could care less if liberals or conservatives take the lead.
  17. You simply eat what your body can efficiently process with very little to no excess and it is that simple. A person cycling 250k a week can consume probably pounds more of sugar a week compared to someone that walk a few miles a day. Live life sensibly!
  18. Yep, you are extremely lucky and good for you- being happy is a treasure. You are the EXCEPTION but by no means a role model.
  19. Not to be flippant but are meters really that hard to grasp and what to do about the numbers complicated? The sooner individuals learn how to take control of their health and learn about general health the better. Doctors IMO are part of the problem. It really isn't that complicated and I give myself better advice than a doctor that is busy and his knowledge of my health specifics is a fraction of my own knowledge. Definately a role for doctors but relying on them for everything in regards to health is insane. I've been told the most insane things by doctors but I easily disregarded the silliness.
  20. If I was on the verge of becoming diabetic, I would eat poop if it was a cure. I wonder what the happiness index would be when comparing unhealthy diabetics to healthy people?
  21. And why I wonder? Hint- it wasn't the protein.
  22. Protein wasn't the problem but I think you know that?
  23. How many of those pre-made Thai food dishes would you need to eat to reach your protein needs. You go to the gym and are aging (IMO- need more protein). I need at least 125g of protein a day and that would be expensive if using those 60 baht dishes at the family mart that might have 20 grams of protein. For 50 baht at the local market I can buy enough meat to meet my protein needs.
  24. I went from about 100k for the first 10 years here but I bet I could do 35k now. I have no utility or water bills(50-150 baht) because of solar and water on the property. Cars and home paid for and live a simple but satisfying life. How can you live quite well off 20K? My wife cooks all our meals and I think she probably buys more than her share of the food with her own cash (we have separate savings ). I spend about 10-12k on food(normal food but a lot of protein )from the market or grocery stores. That would leave 8k for everything else which would be near impossible on an on going basis. I truly respect your frugal life. Are you truly happy and don't feel you need a little more money?
  25. I never flaunt wealth because it isn't important to me. Not being seen as the poor farang has its benefits though so I try not to be super cheap. Have no problem with others that flaunt their wealth and especially if they are living a satisfying life. The pretenders can be frustrating and are usually easy to avoid. I have a simple home and a couple normal cars and this is what people see passing by. Functionality of what I possess, a good view from my home, comfort, a great partner, and being extremely fit are my drivers.
