I've driven it and love it. Inside space wise is as big as my Honda CRV, that swept look is deceiving.

Nice choice. 🙂

Not exactly the same, but we (my Thai wife and this Farang) have been married for 34 years and had a house and land in Pattaya City (in her name of course) and recently sold it. My wife and I were at the land office with the buyers representative as the land deeds were signed over. No problem. No one cared about this Farang with a big grin on his face. 🙂 AND for those small minded people she wasn't a bar girl and I worked in Chonburi and am not bald and fat and don't wear shorts, socks and shoes.

I have 3 different brand boxes. Sometime I have to do a hard reset, not after on one of them. When strange things start to happen and removing the power etc doesn't fix the problem, could be time for a hard reset. Bit of a pain cause you have to reinstall Kodi mods and other added apps.

We are coming from a Honda CRV. so we wanted something with that size inside, but with more Ommmfff than the rear wheel drive 2.0L CRV. Got no real acceleration power for passing. So the AWD Selion 7 is about the same inside size as the CRV but has that extra Grunt if needed when passing. That's why we went for the Sealion 7. Also they wanted B 1.7 for the new ICE CRV.

I've got a diesel genset. If the lightning gets bad I turn off the main breaker and use it. Only ever happened once.

I'm sure that's the best thing to do, but what happens when you're not there? Probably replace the supply MOVs regularly even though they still show green. Or do what Crossy did and place small MOVs on power switches to soak up any spike the supply MOVs missed. Attenuate the lightning spike. That's just my feeling, no technical definition to do this.

I wish everything was that simple. A clean bum makes the prostrate massager happy. 🙂

New Swimming pool , Is Salt water the best option?
carlyai replied to kwak250's topic in Swimming Pool Forum
I have had a little dealing with Bagwain and I think he knows what he's talking about. Also builds pools I think. I live in NE Isaan near Lao so my option was to build my own. I did pay a pool builder from Phuket to advise me by remote control and sourced the pool plans from a company in Limasol Syprus. -
Respectfully I think it's difficult to circuit analyse what a lightning strike will do or where it will travel. I used to work at a TV transmitter on top of a large mountain and we used to get struck regularly many times. If you walked out of the main building your hair would stand up and the air was noisy, Ssssshhhhh, like just about to break down. Most times the strikes would do no damage, then others would damage a piece of equipment, but not the same TX or RX (we had multiple microwave links, base stations and TV transmitters). I was once working on a link when bits of resistors went shooting past my face after a loud strike and bang. Frightened me fartless. Engineers tried to rig up a circuit to count the strikes and it always got to 1 and disintergrated. Lightning strikes do funny things and are unpredictable. Lightning struck near our house a couple of years ago and took out 6 LED fluoro type lights in part of the garage but not the other 4 LEDs.

Me personally, I don't like liner pools. -

No not lookin for work ;). Don't mind helping on this forum. I get the farmer across the road to clean it each Sunday. Good man, helps us with heavy work. B350 per week. Add pool salt when the chlorinator yellow light flashes. That's mainly it. -

Yes, about 8 years old and cost me, including around pool tiles and half pool shade structure above B800000 but I built it myself with farmers help. -

I've got a 14x4 x(1.4 to 2)m Kera tiled salt water pool. Great. Don't slope all the way say 4m flat 4m slope then 4m flat something like that. Waterfall and 2 dolphins in tiles on the bottom with 4 coloured LED lights. -
The only reason I mentioned it is I'm fairly sure a home circuit I saw from Crossy had a MOV on the neutral as well. I'll have a look for the pic. 🙂
-
You may never have a problem from lighning strikes, but then one day you do. I think best to install a MOV on the neutral as well. If that's what you mean.
-
Shouldn't be socialising, should be working. 🙂 Suppose the traffic is just as bad as 15 years ago?
-
Muhendis you had me a bit worried then cause mine is the same. What MJCM and I haven't done (one of them roundtuits) is install another MOV (metal oxide varister) on the neutral as well. Me thinks that a near lightning strike will raise the earth and neutral voltage for a poofdeenth of a second as well. I think I remember seeing a Crossy home cct. and his incoming neutral has a MOV as well

Many ways to say it depending on the context and who you're talking to. I would say: bye, phom ja non.

Anyone any idea about when the Sealion 7 would be delivered after ordering during the Motor Show discount? The Mukdahan dealer said last month, but that didn't happen. Is there any way to see where I am on the Far Que? I'm out of country for a few months so that leaves Wifey to handle all the new EV, so if it doesn't come for awhile I think she will cancel and go back and get another Honda CRV.

Yes a great group here. There are many BYD Thai sites and sometimes OK information, but unless you want to practice your Thai skills, the translations to English are a bit hit and miss.

Building a house in Thailand
carlyai replied to capin's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
We went to Bali and bought a container of Teak furniture and sent it back to Thailand, so with a house full of Teak wood furniture, no termites after 8 years. They are in the yard. Our house in Pattaya had wooden door jams and they came up through the cement floor and door jam and ate away when we weren't there. They like quiet. -
BS. If you feel it's doing you good....probably is.

Hi. Join the Building in Isaan forum. Just had a post there from a Guy just finished a nice looking house, fence and pool. He used a private builder and recommends them.
