There you go showing your stupidity. You didn't vote but want to belittle Albo and people who did vote.

That's probably the dumbest thing you've said in all your dumb posts. I always vote for a winner and I'm not a dumb bogan. 🙂

Wifey had a disagreement with our pool cleaning guy so he's gone. Maybe like a pool cleaning robot, so would like recommendations and cost please. Pool size is 14 x 4 x (1.4-2) m. Cement and tiled.

That's not correct. My Kbank contacted us as my phone number was registered under wife's name as I didn't have my passport with me when we changed to True. Went to a True place and the lovely Thai staff changed the registration to my name. Bugger, now I have to pay the phone bill as before my wife paid for both phone bills. I wondered why I never got a phone bill, so now I know. 🙂

I came across 1 in Pattaya that was booked. The nice people charging there also said just wait (I think 5 mins) and it became free. I'm not that organised to be able to book ahead. As a aside: yesterday just did a quick check with my clamp meter on the charging cable while charging with the car charger and did get a varying reading that at one stage was 25 A. Have my mountable charger (not yet installed) and hopefully should be able to pull 32A or more when charging. When I wired up the garage I installed 4mm2 cable and above. If you have a 15/45 meter you can probably pull up to 45A if your cable size is OK.

Just thinking .... my EV aircon has a 2.5 particle filter (I think) and the aircon works well. I think the filter can also be cleaned at the time of service. So should be available to an inside aircon. ..

I have had this bad broncitus/asthma/flu, coughing up toenails for a while now and was thinking of buying an air purifier. Then I thought to my self, self why not check out HEPA filters for my bedroom aircon. Has anyone done this? What did you do or buy and what brand particle check meter do you have?

Yes I was thinking about that, surely 😉 you can buy very good filters for your air-conditioner units that would do the same thing as the stand alone air purifier? My EV has a PM 2.5 filter on the car aircon.

I've had both and both great. Trouble with fibreglass is that the builder has to be very good during the manufacturing process. Mine developed bubbles in the gelcoat (I think this is the expression). Still lasted many years. Also it could be a problem buying and installing a large fibreglass pool with a varying depth. My current cement/tiles/salt pool is great. 8 years old and you do have to keep the PH correct or the pool grout can slowly be eaten out. I also found the stainless pool fitting from pool suppliers were of lower quality than local stainless shops.

I used 'Chief Architect' to design our house. Takes a bit of getting used to (like any rendering program) but can pretty much do anything with a house 3D walk-thru as well. For me I found you need the Pro version is the best buy of rendering software as with the standard versions, you always seem to need a tool that only comes with the Pro version.

Ebike Tailight Always On Help
carlyai replied to carlyai's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Thanks and you are right, but I want to sell the bikes as I need to buy a step-thru, crank forward, ebike. I can't advertise the bikes if they have a problem. -
I've had this flu/influenza cough from the lungs for about 1 month now. Getting better. I thought it was just a bag case of the flu but now I think it is due to this constant smoke pollution in our Isaan area. Anyone got a recommendation for an in-bedroom air cleaner?

Ebike Tailight Always On Help
carlyai replied to carlyai's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Switch seems to be OK, so now to pull out the guts in the tube and have a look at the battery and controller. Unfortunately I have to unsolder and remove all the plugs etc to remove it all from the other end. Pain. -
Ebike Tailight Always On Help
carlyai replied to carlyai's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Thanks Dave, good advice about the crimp on connectors too. I've been looking up some wiring diagrams for Ebikes on YouTube and on one video have seen the 500 Ohm resistor but had a diode in series with it. Might also have to investigate that further. I have nearly discharged the battery as I thought I may need to get at the controller. If it (hopefully) is the switch I still may get into the controller/battery and see if there is a BMS that's OK. Don't want to end up with something hot and throbbing between my legs. 🙂 -
Ebike Tailight Always On Help
carlyai replied to carlyai's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
The battery/controller tube is removed from the bike and the bike doesn't have a 3 way switch. I think (bad memory) pushing the on/off button turned on the tail light. -
I have posted about this before, left it for a while, now back into it. I have 2 Ebikes bought from China about 2 years ago and I assembled them here. Both bikes LED tail lights are always on, I think it's a fault and I am fairly sure the lights weren't on when I assembled them, but don't remember clearly. I think it could be a controller fault, but with both bikes? Also the on/off switch does not seem to do anything and the push button light stays on all the time. The complete assembly is enclosed in an Al tube that slips into the frame and is a bugger to access but I have uncovered the top of the tube where the tailight, switch, charger connector and motor + connector are. I have traced out some of the circuit (cct) which I have attached and also pictures of the light, connectors, on/off switch and wiring. I have not traced the wiring into the tube, battery setup and controller. From the cct diagram it appears the LED light would be always on as voltage is present on the large purple and red wires coming up from the controller and batteries and the LED is across this feed. But this doesn't make sense to me. Why have the LED always on discharging the batteries and the push button on/off switch doesn't seem to do anything, always on. I did post about this before and ordered a new switch, but twas the wrong type. If you have any suggestions please let me know before my wife kills me for being possessed with this problem. The red and purple wires come up the tube from the controller and batteries I guess. They go to a connector on the frame where the motor cable plugs into. The tailight goes off to the right. Voltage is always on the red and purple wires hence the LED light is always on. The on/off push button switch light is always on. There seems to be a bit of bodgie wiring with a 500 ohm resistor (R1) wired across the switch. The head of the battery tube showing the LED, charger port and motor port. The push button switch rear is just visible. Push button switch markings looked like 48v with C, NO, NC contacts but pushing button does nothing. Push button switch, positive throw but always on.
