The only food I send back are fries, if they are not “crispy” as originally ordered. Nothing like a firm, even slightly burned, fry even if it takes a few months of life off at the end - well worth it IMO. Otherwise I suck it up. If it is really bad I will submit an honest review on google maps. Wish more people did this as the number of glowing, 5 star reviews on almost every place is beyond belief.

Thai High-Risk Groups Urged to Get Covid-19 Boosters

He, and they by extension, are indeed that if only for his misguided and damaging (given his platform) advocacy of ivermectin as a covid treatment. Straying off topic so I will leave it at that. -
Thai High-Risk Groups Urged to Get Covid-19 Boosters

True, research is important, but not from a f****** politician. I would consult my dog before any politician, who are generally know-nothing windbags no matter the country.- 125 replies

Minister Pushes for Bangkok F1 Race Plan with 2024 Deadline
TimBKK replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Not sure another street circuit is needed - Monaco and Singapore, from a racing perspective, are the most boring races of the year, I mean qualy is the real race at least at these 2. Baku a little better but still not many chances to pass either. Not sure about Las Vegas or the others…is Miami street? And, which race are they going to drop to add BKK? 24 seems a lot, drivers for sure don’t want any more than that. Don’t see it happening, for these and many other reasons. -
Absolutely false for 3BB - not once have I had a problem getting an English speaker and the level of speaking and comprehension was more than acceptable.

Pros and cons of using an agent for the 800k
TimBKK replied to JontS's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If you use a reputable agent like Maneerat or Cambodia Inter, the downsides pale in comparison to the upside. I would not hesitate to use either; frankly, deciding to use Cambodia has been one of the better decisions I’ve made here. As @DrJack54 notes, it is pretty straightforward to get out of the agent “loop” via a Non-O, honestly I would not be too concerned about that. -

Thai woman claims Indian ‘businessman’ gave her STD
TimBKK replied to snoop1130's topic in Central Thailand News
With the recent and unrelenting influx of Indians, let’s be honest - the rate of STD infection in Thailand is going to skyrocket. A quick ask of Perplexity AI reveals that: ”The rate of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) in India is significant, with approximately 6% of the adult population diagnosed with STDs and reproductive tract infections (RTIs) annually. This percentage translates to over 30 million individuals affected, highlighting a considerable public health challenge” Ironic that the long term costs of such an open door policy will in the end cost more, much much more, than the few baht that this lot throws around. I can only shake my head in disgust… -
Sure, Dr. Hummin - case closed right? Or, maybe you missed the bit where the OP states “Doctor says "we can't find anything wrong…”

Perplexity AI says: A safer alternative to tramadol that is equally effective in pain management is low-dose ketamine. Research indicates that low-dose ketamine provides superior pain control compared to tramadol while exhibiting a more favorable side effect profile. Specifically, studies have shown that patients receiving ketamine had significantly lower pain scores and required fewer rescue analgesics compared to those treated with tramadol. Comparison of Alternatives Here are some key alternatives to tramadol, including ketamine: Ketamine: Effectiveness: More effective than tramadol for pain relief. Side Effects: Fewer significant side effects, such as a lower risk of respiratory depression and seizures. Diclofenac: Effectiveness: Comparable to tramadol in managing pain, particularly in acute settings. Side Effects: Similar safety profile to tramadol, making it a viable non-opioid alternative. Gabapentinoids (e.g., gabapentin): Effectiveness: Particularly useful for neuropathic pain; can be combined with other analgesics for better results. Side Effects: Lower risk of addiction compared to opioids. Conclusion While tramadol is used for pain management, low-dose ketamine stands out as a safer and more effective alternative. Other options like diclofenac, acetaminophen, and gabapentinoids also provide effective pain relief with fewer risks associated with opioid use. Always consult a healthcare provider to determine the best option based on individual health needs and conditions.

The OA insurance requirements are so low and thus so cheap (granted, its a complete throwaway policy) that I wonder if it would actually cost more to switch to a non-O, at least initially? Think I paid 2000b (via an agent) for something from the “Bangkok Insurance Public Company Limited” which I believe is affiliated with Bangkok Bank. I could probably renew the policy at a BKK branch for even cheaper. Just a though, although I suppose over time the non-O will eventually win out on cost.

Trump seemed so, so, so very un-Presidential - a rather strange thing to say about a former President. There wasn’t much substance from either, but Harris was much more poised and rose to the moment, I thought. In the end, Trump floundered badly and left the viewers with all of the worst that he has to offer and none of the good (if there is any). The election is so close that even swings of tenths of a percent can be impactful and I suspect that the pendulum continues to swing towards Harris, more so after the debate.
