  6. The rumblings are from a very small, very vocal bunch that gets picked up by faux news to push their narrative. There is no mechanism for any province or territory to seperate, ask Quebec. I'm from Alberta which is always being presented as being in the separatist lane. It's not. our premier is a separatist and trump supporter much to my shame, and there has always been a small mostly rural group of maple magas that get more attention than they should in our now constant 24/7 news cycle. I wish she would shut up, or even better call an election
  7. That's been a thing for Canadians for years, us customs can search your electronic devices. It's been recommended also for years to get a burner phone with no activity on it if you're unsure
  8. I suppose you believe they dived down and put an explosive charge on it ala James Bond? The Nordstream pipeline that I worked on is 48" diameter x 38mm (1 1/2in) wall thickness of X80 (very high tensile) steel It's also coated with 6" of concrete I'm not an explosive expert but I would think your going to need a lot more boom than a diver can carry. And no, they didn't use an internal pig, the open end is in russia 900km away
  9. Thanks for the info, wish I'd bought Rheinmetall last fall when I first started looking at them I'm into a Rare Earth explorer/ developer in Brazil, that actually have a massive discovery, with all the bs going on about rare earths people have no idea how difficult they are to mine, and refine. Especially refine. Meteoric Resources on the ASX

  13. Any large construction site has inspectors that represent the client/owner, sometimes they are far and few between, lazy, or easy to circumvent I have been called on to X-ray the walls on several high rise condos and office towers in the US and Canada The objective was to count the number of rebar pieces in a given area, the construction plans will have a procedure for this. In all the buildings I examined NOT ONE had the required number of rebar in it. And this is in first world countries. Steel is expensive and it's going to be covered with concrete, who's to know?
  14. @spidermike007 This lady has a very good take on your OP question
  15. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/canada-us-tariffs-north-south-dakota-farmers-1.7502342 Potash from Saskatchewan powers the North American farm sector, farming has always been a very low margin affair and any added input costs will bankrupt lots of farmers, on both sides of the border In the article a air seeder made in Canada will go from 1,000,000 dollars to 1,250,000 dollars overnight, because of one man
