  1. Spend some money and get https://www.briggs-riley.com/ I worked the oil patch for 40 years and just got used to replacing bags after 2 years or less. Samsonite other "good" brands. In 2008 I spent 1000 dollars on a set of Briggs and Riley bags, still have them. Lifetime guarantee, if it's damaged they will repair it and if unable to repair it will be replaced Well worth it.
  2. Agent did this to me on my condo sale in 2019, without my knowledge by the way, I found out at the land office during the transfer. Selling price of condo 12 million baht, Selling price of condo on the land office official receipt 8.5 million baht I got two bank drafts from the buyer, 8.5m and 3.5m, so the first was for the condo and the second was for the interior furnishing (fully furnished) So I got my price, the taxable amount at the land office was lower and everybody thought it was win win Except when I go to transfer the money out of Thailand I can only transfer 8.5 m in one go as that is what is on the official Land Office receipt Some additional trips to the bank to transfer the rest out so in the end no damage done but more hassle So your officinal price to buy will be a lower price, less tax but you will be stuck with that number when you sell and try repatriate your money
  3. You do understand that your boy _rump is not in charge of anything in the US at the moment? Or do you think he actually won in 2020 and is controlling the US government secretly from a golf course in Florida
  4. In Mariupol, there was another ammo dump hit, looking for it now
  5. You'd be wrong My wife was very good looking and after about 4 or 5 years inside she looked extremely rough, When I saw her at court for our divorce she was about 42 yo and looked to be in her 60's Thai prison ages you very quickly
  6. I used to visit my ex-wife in prison, first in Udon Thani, 6000 women in a prison built for 2000, It was hot and nasty in the visiting area, she said it was much much worse inside. She said they take dead bodies out every morning. Also visited in Sawang Daen Din, where after sentencing she spent the rest of her time, rural prison, prisoners are more local so she knew people inside Stopped visiting after our divorce, and she was released last year after 10 years in the monkey house.
  7. I used to live about 50km south of Phon Phisai, we went many times for the "fireballs" I thought it would be a globe like thing rising out of the water, what I saw was more like a bottle rocket streaking up and going pop. Very rarely I should add and nobody could really see where they came from Years ago it was a nice outing sitting on the edge of the river, eating drinking and not seeing much Nowadays they have barges and floats all lit up with lights and bands playing and you can hardly see the river for the boats, and not seeing much in the way of fireballs. I tried to get a photograph but couldn't, neither could the film crews that were set up Having been about 5 times I remain a skeptic.

  10. This guy explains it with pictures. He is very good with Ukraine war information, doesn't jump to conclusions and is quite meticulous in his cross referencing and research. Hamas launched a bunch of rockets and one was intercepted and landed in the PARKING lot, not the hospital, but hey hamas don't let a good <deleted> up go to waste
  11. ANNND, he's gone, Kevin McCarthy voted out as speaker https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/matt-gaetz-kevin-mccarthy-house-speakership-10-03-23/index.html Now sit back with some popcorn to watch the madness of trying to get a new speaker of the house representing the maladjusted republican party. ????
  12. Like others said, which country are you moving to? I've exchanged DL all over the world, a lot of first world countries recognize and exchange licenses without a test. Changed a Alberta Canada license for a Texas one, no problem, exchanged Texas license for Australian one, no problem Moved back to Canada from Thailand, DL not able to exchange The Thai license does not have a rating number on it that they recognize in Alberta, eg class 5 for passenger cars, class 6 for motorcycles, Thai license has a little picture of a car or motorcycle for the class rating and that does not compute I had to redo the written and driving test again.
  13. My son, Canadian/Thai is a dead ringer for me with a little nicer tan, he has brown hair like I used to have. Looks more Caucasian than thai YMMV

  15. From someone who seems to have an uncanny knack for pontificating about numerous subjects on which he knows absolutely nothing but is extremally confident of his knowledge. Dunning Kruger effect The Dunning-Kruger effect is the phenomenon by which those least competent in a certain subject area overestimate their skills the most.
  16. Have had an HSBC expat account for 25 years, no problem with the bank and getting credit cards to Thailand, that used to be a big problem with some banks. Have never used them for investing, I use Interactive Brokers for that. A less expensive off shore bank is Standard Bank Offshore which I use for my company account, less of a balance to keep up and equally good service.
  17. A voice of reason, I've seen these gas station signs blown over in Texas after hurricanes, quite common in fact
  18. Just google, how to jail break a fire stick I used https://troypoint.com/how-to-jailbreak-a-firestick/, along with a SurfShark VPN It's a little fiddely to set up but once it's done your good to go

  20. Preparing for the "storm" are you? Buy lots of canned and dry food and lots of ammo of course. The scary thing is that there are too many people who hold the same belief's as you
  21. A new missile brought to you by Roscosmos, who just last month flew crashed a lunar probe into the moon.
  22. The words of Adam Schiff have never been more relevant. There is no secrecy with the former president, he says quiet clearly what he is going to do, and millions will vote for that, and millions more will somehow be surprised by his actions Adam Schiff used his closing arguments in the president's impeachment trial on Monday to urge the Senate to take a stand against "a man without character." "We must say enough — enough! He has betrayed our national security, and he will do so again," Schiff, D-Calif., told the Senate.Feb 3, 2020
