What software are you using to access the news server.

If it's a subscription news server is the some problem with your payments ?

Have you checked that your firewall is allowing connections to the NNTP port typically port 119 ?

Where abouts in Thailand are you ?

What ISP are you using ?

If you provide this info then maybe someone can help.

Have you checked in tools-- internet --options-- general--- fonts that there is a Thai font associated with the the Thai language ?

You should be able to let your wife type directly into the compose window (on Yahoo web mail ) in Thai without all that fuffing about writing in word first. If a true type font doesn't work then try a proportional font instead.

Sorry I took so long to reply ....didn't see your question, You can see the steam engine from the beach road. If you drive from South Pattaya/North Jomtien all the way down untill you can allmost drive no further (and still be on the beach road ) keep looking left and you'll see it.

There is a museam on the town side of the lake, it's part of the water pumping station they have lots of info about the types of fish to be found,and the history of the lake its self.

I'm also told by someone born there that you (in fact anyone) can fish in the lake as it's public property... there is also a fishing tackle shop nearby too.

Hi-Net is not bad at all.... for the money.

If you just want to check email surf the web etc it's perfectly useable and much much better than dial up.

Is it suitable for connecting to your office in Bangkok ??? I don't know for sure (without trying) but probably it would work, how would you be connecting VPN ???

I know Hi-Net do block port 25 SMTP outgoing and maybe others but I have not checked... blocked ports may cause problems.

Bittorent and edonkey work (of sorts)

IRC, Skype, Yahoo and Hotmail mesengers all work (text audio and web cam). Online games ? don't know if they work because I have never tried.

Good value for home use yes most definitely. For buisness use probably not good except as a back up.
