Its not really about the money...sometimes its difficult to find a reliable, reputable, honest, competent trades person, by doing it yourself you can gain knowledge and experience have a very sweaty workout and save the peanuts for the monkeys if/when you cock it up

Its not the first time this has happened on that "flyover""

If you use a pressure washer as well as not bending the fins you have to be very careful not to squirt water into anything "electrical" like the condenser fan ( on the outside unit)
and the main control panel on the inside unit ( yes I know from bitter experience wasn't careful enough )
most of the cleaning teams have a high power "blower" to dry off the electrics after the pressure washing is done.
Those cage fans are really difficult to get completely clean in situ ( without a high pressure washer ) I once took mine out and cleaned the inside and outside surfaces in the bathroom with assorted instruments it took forever and then had to re-asemble the whole indoor unit again which wasn't very enjoyable.
Remember to check the condensation drain pipe for blockages or you can end up with water dripping down your wall in the middle of the night and ruining anything situated bellow the aircon

before anyone uses zebra crossings they should view this video

My wife wanted to go to "Central" today in the car...only a few parking spaces left on the 6th floor...exactly 1 hour to get out of the parking lot and another 1 hour to get home to Na Jomtien. I'll be staying home ( or motorcycling) until the 20th.

Songkran brings happiness to the people
And send it back to what it was 20 years ago so that you are only allowed to flick a few splashs on people from a small bowl.
As long as its not a red bowl with "someone's" signature on it.

Central judders and shakes? I've never noticed - maybe I spend too much time there and I'm used to it. Next time I'm there I'll have some pretzels and reevaluate.
While they where still building the Hilton Hotel on top of the Mall I often felt quite strong judders on the 4th and 5th floors where there is a bridge across the open central space/span of the building...I thought that it was to do with the ongoing construction but now the construction work has finished I'm really not sure at all what causes this
phenomenon..I'm sure that its not "just me" as my wife also felt the floor shake..and I'm quite sure its got nothing to do with the pretzels

I am really disapointed ,not one poster has said it will collapse in ruins , it was so much better when central opened , we were all on tenterhooks awaiting the carnage .
As far as I've looked ( 3rd floor ) there are no visible faults on the car parking pillars of Harbor Mall in fact they seem to have incorporated a reinforcement pad around the columns in the parking area...also the building doesn't seem to judder and shake like Central still does I especially notice that on the 4th floor where the Auntie Anne's pretzel shop is located....could be resonant vibration like the wobbly bridge in London

Does anyone have any info on the office spaces upstairs? I couldn't find a link (that worked). Curious if there is office space that can be rented and what rates.
(Yes, I should just go there myself, but still in Bangkok
)
Thank you kindly.
Have you tried

Overall I liked the new mall..one thing I didn't like though is the car park it felt too narrow and be a difficult place to reverse park ones pickup truck
perhaps that's contributing to the traffic snarl up on Central road... poor old motorcyclists it would seem have been relegated to parking along the outside of the building.
Also be aware that if you take your kids to try out the free slider between floors ( between floors ? and ? ) the staff only allow 1 go per kid .... there is no sign informing of this rule I asked if they only allowed I go per kid per lifetime and they replied yes !! ....maybe they didn't like my face.
Its nice that they have an area to sit and eat heated up food from the Max Value store and there are lots of comfy chairs and sofas all around the new mall
how long that will last I don't know..as there where already a few sleepers on sofas just 1 hour after opening time.
The Tukcom floors are so much better than the equivalent at the old South Pattaya location, if the rent at Harbour Mall is in any way competitive to Tukcom's I think we might see everyone move to Harbour Mall..it might explain the increasingly empty space on the IT floor at Tukcom.
I very much hope that The Rink and Snow land do open...remember though not to eat the yellow snow !!
Prices for the Harbour Land play area on the 7th floor ( which was rather hot on the day I went maybe aircon was broken on that floor ? )
Over 60's get in free on weekdays

I used quite a large outside aerial and was able to receive analogue
signal from Bangkok quite clearly but not a dicky bird with digital signal from the Pattaya transmitter quite puzzling.

Holy crap, traffic in/out today was insane. Even the bikes had to wait forever. Everybody walking around but shops were empty. Only first time lookers. Nothing special to see inside, doubt I will go back.
Yes today sunday the traffic on central road was very bad, I was stuck for 20 (odd) minutes trying to get to the new Harbour Mall got to just past Big C and said sod it turned the car round and went to Tesco south Pattaya instead it was packed full of "air bathers" car park almost full and no trolleys left !

I must be reading all the wrong threads--that send me searching for colloquial assistance...When I wright posts, I try and use words that every native English speaker will understand, no matter where they come from. In fairness, most of the phrases in the above article don't appear regularly in the threads on TV that I read....

I challenge a non-Brit, non-Aussie, non-Kiwi to translate! :-D
I came across that term a few weeks ago. Had to ask the guy what the heck "dobbing" was! LOL Still not 100% sure....
Dobbing is to inform a higher authority of your (bad) actions
Not to be confused with dogging which is something very different !

The draft Charter should be widely publicised, and each and every person in the country with the ability to read, should somehow be persuaded to read the entire
document, and then form their own opinion, rather than relying on the interpretation of others.
Why bother reading it when it'll be replaced in a few days, weeks, months or years by the next one ????

Ford Laser
it was good at going in straight lines , not so good round corners as the steering rack was shot as well as numerous other things.
