No mobiles but ok for the drivers to have a ciggie while the gas boy tops up his LPG tank.
The "Mythbusters" also tried very hard but failed to get a cigarette to ignite petrol...it needs to be a naked flame to cause ignition.

He should have just flashed his lights and everyone would have moved out of the way !

Excellent thanks Arjen
Only thing is a little concerning is that it says the contacts are only rated to 5amps I would have thought a whole house would normally draw a bit more current than 5 amps ?
-
Yup, low voltage is all too common an issue.
Is there some sort of low cost equipment that can automatically sense low voltage (say anything under 150 volts) and isolate the house until mains voltage returns to a more normal level ?

majority. of persons with tanks and guns or majority of voters in an election ?

What about all the laws to imprison those who spoke against, have they been rescinded?
NO! All the referendum laws are still firmly in place and still apply to everyone.
Everyone except the "good" people ?

The viruses and bacteria in rain are quite strong early in the season: getting caught in the rain it's very likely to catch a cold, IMO ( I know there are deniers).
I used to laugh at Thai people when they told me that..................not anymore
If there are viruses and bacteria in the environment why are they only ( or more so ) contagious when it rains ?
The dust storms that kick up just before the rain might be carrying lots of nasties into eyes and nose maybe ?
Why do Thai people with a cold go to the doctor and return with a bag full of antibiotics insisting they will cure their cold ?

No its just the same old marketing spiel.....if they ever did change the law ( constitution ) to allow foreigners to own land it would be big front page news and there would be one hell of a hoo-ha about it.

Proof of residence is a bit of a misnomer...really what they want to know is an address where you are residing...can be a hotel, condo whatever
you can get this proof from your local immigration office, your embassy and maybe ( if very lucky ) friendly police station.
Pattaya DLT will ( not heard any reports to the contrary ) issue " temporary" licences to "tourists"
-
If its right next door he could well be in a "null" zone depending on how the antenna is configured.
luudee there most probably is some sort of law and planning consent required to put up a cell phone transmitter
but it would seem like they already got permission... maybe make some enquiries at Pattaya City Hall.
if all else fails and you are worried about RF radiation you can make a Faraday cage with fine wire mesh like they use to stop mosquitoes on windows and doors
ohh and don't forget the tinfoil hat
-
As far as I'm aware its been the case for a long time that you can get a "temporary" 1 year licence ( recently extended to 2 year ) on a tourist visa
but to get a 5 year ( full ) licence after holding the temporary licence for a year requires a "long stay visa" no long stay visa they will give you another "temporary" licence.

Langen said he is personally not optimistic about the democratic outlook of Thailand under the junta.
“I personally very much doubt if the situations are on the right track,” he said.

Yes NanLaew I'd say every Friday,Saturday and Sunday sees very bad traffic in Pattaya nowdays.

Ok so I will answer myself
After 3 different aerials, 2 runs of RG6 coaxial cable and going to the highest point on the roof I was finally able to get digital terrestrial TV signals
from what would appear ( from the frequencies ) to be both Bangkok and Pattaya transmitters.
homemade 600 MHz yagiSIS cheapo from AmornHome made and SIS antenna both have about the same performance and could pull in signals from Bangkok and Pattaya with a short cable while testing on the roof.but did not enough gain to overcome the long coax run to the TVno idea where to get a mast head amplifier. So got the biggest antenna they had in Amorn Samart D15E 550 bahtand using the website hereprovides the pointing direction and frequenciesA lot of testing and running up and down ladders later............ success !! well kind of5 MUX's from Bangkokon CH 26 @ 514 MHzCH 36 @ 594 MhzCh 40 @ 626 MhzCh 44 @ 658 MhzCh 52 @ 722 Mhzbut only 2 MUX's from the Pattaya transmitter onCH 53 @ 730 MhzCh 56 @ 754 MhzAnyone else have better luck with the Pattaya transmitter ? -

Foreigners cant own land in Thailand.

I wonder if the BIB also impounded the "pot plant"
-
They won't give you a 5 year license because you don't have a long term visa...I've also heard that those with "Thailand elite" visas are only eligible for temporary licenses too.

There are some bathroom/toilet cleaning products that contain about 5% hydrochloric acid , they do a good cleaning job but can also completely dissolve grout if left for too long.

If you view with no more participants than yourself having no red colored clothes or equipment being careful not to read a book or eat sandwiches and especially no Facebook messages...it might be ok.
