Thai government saying the same old stuff again and again.
Yes..... time for an EU red card.

even the wat in pattaya tai is used mainly as a car park, not to mention the 5 story car park they built that was never used but served it purpose of blocking the views from the first 5 floors of central condo
Its not blocking views its providing much needed shade from the hot sun and all those condo owners should be very thankful that their aircon
bill is now much lower.

It was said the car park was for people (probably from BKK) wanting to park up and go on the "furry"
to ko larn.

I think they will be left as memorials to "something"

Agree...I don't understand all the people always winging about parking in Pattaya...this is a semi-urban beach resort city two hours drive from a major metropolis of 10M people...of course there is going to be traffic congestion and parking issues, especially on weekends and holidays. These complainers must have lived out in the sticks where they came from to always be complaining about this.
As to traffic flow...sometimes it does gum up a bit...but except for holidays and the rush-hour, getting across town usually never takes more than 20 minutes or so...and getting to know the back-streets and alleys can be a real time-saver (Google Maps is your best friend). And if I do get stuck in traffic, I listen to podcasts or read the newspaper on my phone or tablet so it not really wasted time in any case.
Before the "Yingluck" floods of Bangkok and subsequent temporary evacuation of what seemed like 10 M of the metropolis to the eastern seaboard and particularly Pattaya the traffic congestion and parking issues where ( to my view at least ) much less than they are now.....the other day it took me a full hour to get out of "Central Festival the Beach's" car park and another hour to get back home to Na-Jomtien.

News from PattayaWatchdog facebook page.
After 6 months of not paying rent ( under refurbishment ) to Pattaya City MP MEC co LTD lost its concession to run the car park.

How could anyone transfer money into a bank account without the account number ??? would take quite a few billion random guesses to get the correct account
also how does someone nefariously transfer money out of someone else's account with just the account number ?

I've taken my computer parts motherboard,PSU,RAM,DVD rom in a suitcase with the hard drives in carry on bag with no problems.
Yes the manufactures say hard drives in parked state can stand up to 500g's that's many times more than the human body can withstand
however when they are spinning just a small jolt can render a hard drive useless as I found out with a Western Digital "Mybook" 1 TB drive that was stood up like a book and fell over on the shelf
whilst copying files to it...dead dead dead.

Its not really about the money...sometimes its difficult to find a reliable, reputable, honest, competent trades person, by doing it yourself you can gain knowledge and experience have a very sweaty workout and save the peanuts for the monkeys if/when you cock it up

If you use a pressure washer as well as not bending the fins you have to be very careful not to squirt water into anything "electrical" like the condenser fan ( on the outside unit)
and the main control panel on the inside unit ( yes I know from bitter experience wasn't careful enough )
most of the cleaning teams have a high power "blower" to dry off the electrics after the pressure washing is done.
Those cage fans are really difficult to get completely clean in situ ( without a high pressure washer ) I once took mine out and cleaned the inside and outside surfaces in the bathroom with assorted instruments it took forever and then had to re-asemble the whole indoor unit again which wasn't very enjoyable.
Remember to check the condensation drain pipe for blockages or you can end up with water dripping down your wall in the middle of the night and ruining anything situated bellow the aircon

before anyone uses zebra crossings they should view this video

My wife wanted to go to "Central" today in the car...only a few parking spaces left on the 6th floor...exactly 1 hour to get out of the parking lot and another 1 hour to get home to Na Jomtien. I'll be staying home ( or motorcycling) until the 20th.

I'm always amazed at what can live in those pots.......... Thai proverb "in the fields there is rice and in the water there are fish" seems to hold true
Guppies thrive in those earthenware pots with just a few water lily's as protection from the sun they need very little food as they will eat algae and insects that are attracted to the water...
