sanuk711 replied to CharlieH's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Hi Will27--yes I took the first episode from EZTV when it was only been out for about an hour... haven't been back to look---but it is all part of Series 13--this was episode 3 / part one (2 parts) so maybe they done a misprint saying its both out same night, if not it should be out now. EZTV still has 3 downloads of it (part 1 I mean) -
Baht’s current slide is a grim reminder of its crash 25 years ago

Such a misleading post--- I wonder if done privately --would the mods have taken it away. Just--pick a country and replace the headline with it... Australian $$..... crashing down from 75 in April to 67 now..... ....remember the 1990s crash British Pound down nearly 16 pence from start of year........... Soup kitchens on the way The Euro on the brink of going under one Euro to a $us.............. The Yen hasn't risen against the $us in nearly 2 years There isn't a major currency that is on par--let alone go up against the $us Yet ASEAN lets them keep on repeating this scare mongering.---and prints it. -

I like the Laos art as well-- first saw it in Chatuchak markets in the 90s , where they are quite a good price--then when you wander across the border away from Vientiane, amazing prices, brought hand painted pictures from 150--600 baht. Some of their art is done on large pieces of wood--as they can't afford (or get ) canvas. Makes it hard to put in a suitcase. Now its being snapped up & put on the internet...(like ones below) . which I suppose is good for the artist's. It's been a few years--dont know what the prices are now--we live close to the border -my wife use to wander over pre Pandemic--(Thai's 20 baht-others 30-40 $us), to get me wines etc . I should go over again, their High speed train takes you out of Vientiane now--no 20 year old Rickety Buses any longer. .

A private person, Company directer or whatever, makes a suggestion--& the voices of ASEAN tell us that That the country of Thailand ... has morally lost its way. Get real guys he is not even in the Goverment. Do you not think there are dissenting voices in Britain--USA ..EU...etc, & thats what we are suppose to have in a democracy . Meanwhile whats happening happening to the biggest trading block in the world. "The bloc (EU) is "leaning" toward a ban on imports of Russian oil by the end of the year --1) "Leaning" --I think that comes in the category of a "Maybe", -BUT we are really hoping here in the EU that the war is over by the end of the year & we dont have to make such a decision. On the Ukraine Embassy webb site-- they are thanking the people of Thailand , and pointing out that they now have opened a special Baht bank acc--as Thai people were just sending money to the Embassy. 7 million baht so far. 1) https://www.ndtv.com/business/who-is-still-buying-russian-crude-oil-and-who-has-stopped-2939225

Yer -you did.... Jan Erik Olsson--was one of the main characters-in the robbery, although his part is played down a bit in the TVseries- his son had bar/restaurant close to Dolphin roundabout in Pattaya. (about 17 years ago)-- and latter when I moved from there to issan I met him-Jan, trying to make a living from a "Mum/Pop " store out side of Udon Thani. He was also trying to write a book (his side) I dont know if he got it printed, he went back to Sweden, and his son is married (kids etc) & now lives in Nakhon Ratchasima (Khorat ) https://alchetron.com/Jan-Erik-Olsson
