  1. This must be something new with Krungsri bank. I've used their app regularly, more so since they stopped the online service on their website last October, most recently on 05.05.2026, but when I tried to log in earlier today I got a pop-up telling me that my account is locked. Then I uninstalled the app, installed it again and started a new registration on the app. Result: This seems to be a violation of Section 27 of the currently valid Constitution of Thailand: Unjust discrimination against a person on the grounds of differences in origin, race, language, sex, age, disability, physical or health condition, personal status, economic and social standing, religious belief, education, or political view which is not contrary to the provisions of the Constitution or on any other grounds, shall not be permitted. https://constitutionnet.org/sites/default/files/2017-05/CONSTITUTION+OF+THE+KINGDOM+OF+THAILAND+(B.E.+2560+(2017)).pdf
  2. it may be the millions of Baht you bring into Thailand that throw suspicions of money laundering on you.
  3. Is that all you showed the banks, your passport with the entry stamp giving you permission to stay for 90 days based on your arrival with the non-O visa?
  4. @Ralf001 Would you like to deal with the two required Google Maps listings or should I handle it?
  5. Regarding the Google Maps listing, the way I see this we shouldn't change the name, address and location ot the existing entry for "EEC labor chonburi" (EEC Labour Administration Centre), but edit it as being closed permanently, and create a new listing for "Chonburi EEC Work Permit Service Center" @PoorSucker My search for Big C Extra Chonburi gives four results. As I am not familiar with the geopgraphy of Chonburi, could you please post in which one the new Chonburi EEC Work Permit Service Center is located?
  6. I agree with you that the TDAC online form is not very intuitive.
  7. It is good you asked this question. If it is the same, not only the address should be changed on the Google Maps entry, but also the name should be changed to the correct name as shown on the building: Chonburi EEC Work Permit Service Center. @PoorSucker Are they the same?
  8. TV (tourist visas) are e-visas and with the exception of Laos the Thai embassies don't get your passport into their hands and therefore cannot put a stamp in it saying that next time they might not give you a new tourist visa.
  9. Your VOID stamp means that an immigration official put a wrong stamp there and then voided it. None of the blanks have been filled in.
  10. Were the "other bits of paper to sign" all in Thai and you were not given a copy of them?
  11. I made the mistake of not giving a link to the visa I referred to, ie the non-quota immigrant visa to keep the permanent permission to stay, ie the permanent residence, the immigrant status, alive . The only example I have on file is from 1983 and the text of this type of visa stamp may have changed since then. For a permanent resident, this non-quota immigrant visa, good for a specified number of return journey(s), does indeed serve the analogous service as the re-entry permit for the holder of a temporary permission to stay, ie it keeps the existing permission to stay alive. For anyone who may be wondering, the prefix "non-quota" indicates that the visa does not count against the annual quota of immigrant visas available per country. Unless this quota has been changed, it is generally 100 per country, but only 50 for small countries. I should be grateful if a permanent resident would be so kind as to post a recent non-quota immigrant visa for my album.
  12. The application form for the type of residence certificate you need, on AseanNow commonly referred to as CoR or COR, has no form number and does not seem to be listed on the website of the Immigration Bureau. At least I can find it neither on https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=3159 nor on https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=2163 The website of the Bangkok immigration office may have the application form on it somewhere but I cannot find it. Not all immigration offices use he same form.
  13. Indeed. It would be unreasonable for a Thai embassy or consulate to require or insist on a paid ticket at a time when the issue of the visa is still uncertain or the date of receipt of it still unknown.
  14. Pardon me. It was @Agusts who posted that.
  15. Pardon me. It was @Agusts who posted that.
  16. When required, if you own the condo in which you live, the sales contract is evidence that you are the householder (เจ้าบ้าน), aka house master or house-master, which means the person who is the chief possessor of the condo in the capacity of owner as defined in section 4 and the householder and the owner and the possessor as referred to in section 38 of the Immigration Act.
  17. When required, the "chanote", ie the land title deed, allows the matching of the names as shown in Thai language in the land title deed and in the house registration book for the building on that plot of land.
  18. It is the "blue book", ie the house registration book, in which the Thai lessor, ie the person from whom you are renting the dwelling, is listed.
  19. I'd like to reply to your question, but first I need some additional information: What do you mean by "a year visa"? What do you mean by "a deposit just to get a single non-o lol"?
  20. Would reporting the damage to the passport to the police be an option? After all, I would need a police report to apply for a new passport and to get a refund of my expenses from my travel insurance.
  21. The fact that your immigration office quoted you 15 days to issue a COR clearly means that they don't like to do it.
  22. @ThaiVisaCentre Thank you very much for your posts with links to the official sources. I have added a link to this topic in the pinned topic Laws, regulations, Police Orders, etc.
  23. I was pondering this conundrum a couple of days ago when I first read this this topic. The stamp in the passport says that the permission to stay in Thailand is temporary. This means that the passport holder must have a permanent address in another country. The current system makes no allowance for the perennial tourist of yore, travelling the world with temporary stays in various countries and permanent address in none. As far as I know, The UK has no official system for giving a government-issued certificate of residence. For example, for opening a bank account a recent utility bill for electricity, gas or water will do, a bank statement for renting an apartment, etc. Now, if the OP still has a bank account in the UK, he should also still have an address in the UK, as otherwise the bank would, following current policy, have closed his account. How is that situation?
