  1. Latest version on Linux Mint 20.3 comes with an IPTV app with channels already built in. (Not sure if you can edit them?). Many news channels listed in o/p are in there.
  2. My last two 90 day mail ins to CW have always come back in the post 4-6 weeks later with new expiry exactly 90 days from previous. Perhaps they process it exactly on the 90 days?
  3. Anyone know the process for refund? Do they simply re-credit the debit card I used to pay or is it some long winded affair?
  4. When our neighbors were making a racket refurbishing their room so they could rent it out to the next tenant, the door made little difference. The vibrations into the concrete walls from drilling and grinding send shock waves and nuisance vibrations across multiple floors. Getting a good contractor in that can minimize this helps, our juristic office seemed to vet the kind of contractors allowed into do this and at what times. The room owner was never there so could care less otherwise.
  5. Got a message from THG about the paid Moderna I registered for back in June before I knew when any jabs were available of any vaccine. Since then govt has given me three jabs for free (2 x Sinovac (June/July) and 1 x AZ (Nov)). Now THG seems to message everyone in Thai (if I read it correctly) to either book the paid for Moderna before end of March or transfer it. Is 4 months after AZ jab OK for a 4th jab? I thought guideline was 6 months. THG also says if no decision by end of Jan they keep the deposit and forget it - so that's 3 weeks notice after waiting 7 months!
  6. I had a Thai National ID number and I still had to use my passport and get a vaccine related Thai 13 digit number. They must want to keep all the foreigners separate on the vaccine databases? I got my first two jabs at Pyathai2 then a booster at Bang Sue. The booster showed up on Mor Phrom app the next day as a third jab.
  7. I cannot get my head around this.
  8. In the past I have tried this at CW and was told the bank statement has to be done in person at the bank, as the online statements I had printed out were not 'verified'. Indeed the bank printed version had each page signed and rubber stamped by the bank teller as the verification process. Since then I just keep a separate 800k account with no activity all year and use a copy of the bank book with every yearly in/out entry clear to see so no statements are needed. The day of the extension I do an in and out transfer of 5THB on my mobile phone app to show the balance is current and correct.
  9. Whenever I use Wise I always compared their exchange rate with the latest rates on other sites real time (I use Investing.com but there are numerous to choose) and found the Wise rate to be exactly the same, fluctuating up and down every minute by the same amount. I soon got bored with that and now take the Wise rates as pretty much gospel and not worth worrying about.
  10. Perhaps the news reporter was watching Sully at the time and couldn't be bothered looking for any other graphic.
  11. I take it from your example you use CW. Glad it worked on third attempt, but does the mobile app say you are on x days visa overstay in error like rest of us?
  12. About 2-3 years back my mate did this in Line chat groups you had to join?
  13. In the past, when Amazon US didn't send computers to Thailand, I opened an account with Shipito as I didn't have any other address in the US. I then chose Fedex as they were always easiest, no hold ups and just pay 7% on top (7% of your declared cost) to have the computer delivered to door in Thailand, took about 5 days shopping for it online to arriving in Thailand. Fedex costs were around 120USD so need to be a high end computer to make it worth while. Did it several times. Last purchase I tried sending by Amazon from US direct to Thailand but that meant added sales tax and the Amazon shipping agent costs which was non negotiable (UPS). UPS also made things difficult in Thailand if you first import, by needing to see you and passport at BKK airport before releasing product, and overall the delivery cost was an extra 100USD that I might have paid before. If there was a next time I would go back to Shipto/Fedex route.
  14. Why have a card for an account used for retirement extensions with a balance so close to limit? Just open a second account for immigration only with no card so no annual fees or unexpected deductions all year long?
