  1. Agree with all thats been said, I'd come and get a visa exempt entry on arrival, but I thought you would also have to get one of those throwaway onward flight tickets as well just in case its asked for at Thai immigration or more the case on boarding in UK?
  2. You should have a TM30 within 24 hours of arriving, unless staying at your existing Thai address and arriving on an re-entry permit when the existing TM30 will suffice.
  3. With the new online system they send an email reminder automatically when its due for subsequent reports (after the first) 15 days before due date.
  4. I did something similar using Clone App https://github.com/builtbybel/CloneApp which worked for some apps (Win7 to Win10 a few years ago) and saved a bit of time, but best way is a fresh app install on new system I think. Many ways to do short cuts, I don't like having them on desktop, rather I have them as pinned links to their respective apps on the taskbar, and Clone App doesn't do that afaik.
  5. I have found a copy of bank book only works at CW if you have a dedicated account of 800k for immigration purposes only which I now have where I just have only 3 or 4 transactions a year. Before when I used a single account for both immigration and day to day living with many transactions they asked for 12 months of statements.
  6. Yes it was 200THB handling fee last time or free if you simply take your own form and photo and just pay for permit.
  7. I cannot at CW. It involves a whole other queue system after getting the extension which can add hours to the day inc heavy traffic getting out afterwards. Much simpler at airport for me.
  8. Sure, if the card is not activated you won't be able to use it at VFS or anywhere else for that matter.
  9. Doesn't matter if you are married. If you stay at same Thai address (main home address) and come into country on a re-entry permit no need to do a TM30 update.
  10. A colleague of mine flew into BKK today using a reentry permit for Non O from Europe and was given a TM6 to fill in on the flight but said immigration didn't want it, so believes it to be scrapped for now.

  12. I haven't tried it but this link seems to cover all the bases? https://windowsreport.com/cant-change-display-language-windows-11/ Things that stood out on first glance was you need to have admin rights to do the changes, and a license that allows for change of language?
  13. My experience is with Fedex and UPS when importing laptops. I found Fedex simplest and faster. They simply charge VAT (7%?) on your declared value of items inc shipping cost with all costs agreed prior shipping. There is no import duty. With UPS it was same but for first time imports involved taking a passport to BKK airport to release - so I will avoid them again.
  14. Mine involved 4 trips over 5 weeks to a dentist for 10k Baht - 4 x roots on one molar one root per visit. Then a crown fitting for 20kTHB++ a few weeks later. Had bad tooth ache before, 5 years later still good as new.
  15. Is that entirely true? I thought a TM30 was still required if the person re-entering country maybe moving into a new permanent address? The o/p doesn't specify where they are staying in relation to where they stayed before?
  16. I always drive by Shell. All the various prices available here http://www.eppo.go.th/index.php/th/
  17. OK so I think nothing has changed, unless someone can enlighten us more recent? Your experience matches mine. Basically if you have two UK passports or applying for second you always need a support letter until you go back to owning one passport. I recall the application form said as much.
  18. I would be interested to know more about this? Never heard of so called 'frowning'? I have two UK pp, and it's been 5 years now but no frowns back when I got them both in Bangkok.
