  1. And the fishing companies that use slave labor get off scott free as always...GOOD OL THAILAND!!!

These are private Americans suing. US courts don't have jurisdiction over Thai fishing companies so the suit is against those where there is jurisdiction - sales in the US. This is about the US and consumer issues within the US and nothing more.

It's a great thing these people are doing.

no it isn't all it is going to do is give producers another reason to raise prices.....The slave labor Fishers will just find someone else to sell to and nothing will change so how is that GOOD???

  2. Just remember NEVER get married in thailand...unless you want the possibility to lose everything. I have seen so many foreigners lose everything in thailand when it would never happen in western countries. If you want to have a kid with her go for it but always rent and never put ANYTHING in her name or her family's you are just asking for trouble. Keep in mind you are a guest in their country and will never be anything else and when it comes to court you will always lose, As long as you make sure to guard yourself there is no reason not to have a kid if that is what you want.

    Absolute Bullshlt!

It's the West that takes a man to the cleaners in divorce courts, especially when kids are involved.

do a simple google search and you will find many topics on thai wifes that have taken out loans from money lenders without their partners knowledge and then through forgery the houses have been sold and businesses sold. Even though the forger was arrested the deals are upheld in thai courts and the unsuspecting foreigner loses EVERYTHING...this would never happen in a western country!!

  3. The picture speaks for itself.

Yes it tells me this car-murdering, responsibility-dodging actress is exactly the kind of person her previous actions made me suspect she is.

For her own peace of mind she better not believe in the karma of retribution, but I wager she'll sleep like a baby tonight.

YET the THAI guy that killed the foreign around the world cyclist was only fined 1000 baht,,,,,,Shows what thai's think of foreigners!! How is what Anna did any different...oh it was a thai that died,,,,,,

  5. Like dating women from any country keep your eyes open, The no sex thing means absolutely nothing. I live in phuket and I know a girl that was dating an older guy who spent tons of money on her, took her to islands and out to fancy restaurants but he wanted to wait a month and she said she did too, but when she left his house she was straight round to mine ;)

She lives in pattaya and speaks english which is warning signs enough, if you want to find a nice girl move to bangkok and find someone that has a really good job but won't be easy, normally anything that comes easy here is not worth it for a long term relationship!!

  6. I can easily afford the TE card but a quick google search for the TE shows nothing good and highlights the myriad of problems with the card and the fact that this is the 2nd time they have launched the card after poor sales both times. Like most things with thailand the TE benefits and card can be pulled at any time so I would only invest in it if you were willing to lose that money. It seems very much like a pyramid scheme only lasting as long as new members join and they have always failed miserably to sell the card and have not even close to their sales targets even with paying up to 15% comission to people selling the card.

  7. no need, if you show you have 500k, they give you tourist visa one after one. no question asked.

I m in Thailand for 8 years now and under 50.

And how much money and time have you spent when leaving Thailand 40 times, on visa runs or to apply for a new visa in those 8 years ?

VIPinthailand's time is probably not very valuable.

This is why he can afford losing it on visa runs.

For those who value their time, there is the Thailand Elite option wink.png

32 border runs in 8 years is great, get to go visit a great western country and shop for proper quality items at a fraction of the price they are here in thailand. For those that value their SANITY tourist visas are the best option, For the price of the PE visa you can take 4x 1 week holidays a year staying in a 5 star hotel and living the life of luxury or playing golf on some great golf courses so why would anyone buy the PE visa......

  8. popsy do you even really need to ask why they want someone young. If these men wanted an asian women closer to their age they would go to korea or japan and find someone who can hold a conversation, has travelled and that they have stuff in common with. Most thai women have never left thailand, can only have a basic conversation with and have very little in common with foreign men.

It's why most foreigners come here, to find a attractive young wife that takes care of them.

  9. Since you assume all Thai women are bar girls, your definition of 'heard and seen it all' has a rather low barrier to entry. One can only infer that this applies to your first assertion as well.

Neither is it true that 'most people have security cameras in the UK' - very, very few people have residential CCTV.

you seem to assume assumptions that were never made, I think you are one of those gullible people that believe everything someone tells you. I know last time I was in england a year ago and stayed in houslow/heathrow area before flying out nearly everyone had bars on their windows and security cameras so depending on where they live it could be the norm. You have one side of a story and as we all know there are 2 sides to every story!!
