  1. "Do you know your wife/girlfriends body count?" Wife - yes Girlfriend - not sure
  2. Not comprehensive enough - please report back with 1000.
  3. Steely Dan always gave more than their money's worth when it came to lyrics. Sardonic, never maudlin, great wit ("California" with "Tried to warn ya") etc. Deacon Blues (from Aja) is a great tune. "I crawl like a viper Through these suburban streets Make love to these women Languid and bittersweet I'll rise when the sun goes down Cover every game in town A world of my own I'll make it my home sweet home"
  4. The figure usually attributed to him is 4000, and two of those were geezers in the band.
  5. I'm fond of this song with it's great harmonies and evocative chord changes (Em D6/9), but not sure it cuts the mustard when it comes to profound lyrics: "there were plants and birds and rocks and things..." "the heat was hot..."
  6. Most certainly a recognised condition. I get it occasionally if I'm tired and unable to sleep - it's like something is tickling the muscles, not pleasant at all. I asked my doctor about it many years ago and he said it was quite common and had something to do with an excess of histamine.
  7. If there's no sexual chemistry there sure it could work. Might be different if there's a history though, especially if one of them becomes romantically involved elsewhere. In the words of B.B. King: "But when two real good lovers start bein' real good friends You know that's the beginning of the end"
  8. Weird to think these places are all gone now...
  9. I like their cereal sourdough. Villa's in house brand The Gastro does some inexpensive wholegrain & bavarian type options too.
  10. Who ya gonna call? RSIS (Ratchaburi speedbump installation squad)...
  11. The bald scam, the belly fat scam, the lucky man scam and fake Rolexes... Meanwhile across the road it's their African cousins "Sup bruh, need something..."
  12. Last time I had a booked time slot at Chaengwattana they also wanted a printout of the confirmation email showing the appointment time.
  13. Interesting report. I think this is going to be a very common response from customers now, especially tourists.
  14. Local homemade gummies in a tin of 40. THC was 2.5mg per piece so pretty mild, but she had 10 of them, and at the age of two she'd not weigh much more than 10kg.
  15. She's implying that she came up with this idea, but the scantily clad food vendor trend has been going on for some time now.
  16. Looks like a lot of the recent distribution is postal, with adverts and QR codes stuck on lampposts and bus stops all over the country. In the article they show a pre-rolled joint (maybe 0.5g?) for £10. https://news.sky.com/story/the-online-drug-trade-behind-qr-code-stickers-plastered-on-streets-across-the-uk-13365660
  17. Whatever you do don't show your students the picture of Wee Jimmy Krankie above, or his doppelganger on the right...
  18. Johnny Marr was great with Matt Johnson.
  19. Much of gangsta rap became hugely popular on the back of this type of sentiment. Ice T wrote "Cop Killer", three decades later he's a mainstream character on "Law and Order". Regarding the IDF, the BBC is decrying them on a daily basis - Bob Vylan is actually echoing their message (except much more violently). Probably their reason for not pulling the plug is they wanted something edgy and they were wondering how much they could get away with broadcasting.
  20. Cancel culture never worked in the past, why should it work now? Look at all the movements of past decades - what horrified the parents and the establishment just made the kids want it more. Also it looks like there's an increasing number of media outlets supporting what Bob Vylan and Kneecap were trying to say, even if they are against the way in which it was expressed.
