  1. Whether it was true or not, Britt Ekland's bum was fake - an imposterior. Terrific film, and Christopher Lee's personal favourite role.
  2. I just completed this quiz. My Score 40/100 My Time 175 seconds
  3. You need to get a Non Stick B visa before you can apply for a wok permit.
  4. I applied for CoR at CW earlier this week (not arrived yet). She asked for my TM30 and my 90 day report which I gave, and then said after doing 90 day it was necessary to make an updated TM30 showing departure date to match the permitted until date on passport, as previous check out date was left blank. Anyone else had this? I pointed out that a new TM30 would not be able to show my actual arrival date in Thailand and she said it didn't matter. It baffled me but it didn't affect the CoR, I was told it was something I could do later. The other thing I wasn't expecting, I was told the CoR is only valid for one month - wasn't it previously a year?
  5. I just completed this quiz. My Score 50/100 My Time 174 seconds
  6. One of the oldest local customs is peeing on the beach.
  7. Not easy to compare East with West in this regard. Lao kao aside, Thailand's sky high rates of liver cancer often involve history of hepatitis, plus there are dietary factors such as dishes like koi plaa which causes liver flukes.
  8. I just completed this quiz. My Score 60/100 My Time 116 seconds
  9. This depends on how many years have been paid in. Looks like the OP has very few years accumulated, in which case those pre 2016 years would certainly count. It is as you say a bit of a minefield, and important to get specific information from the Future Pensions Centre on qualifying years for each individual case.
  10. Well worth the investment. The cost of funding a full state pension is around a quarter of a million pounds on current annuity rates. Any NIC's paid in are recouped within around 3 years after pension age. On the downside the pension is frozen if living in Thailand, and pension reforms (means testing etc) may happen in the coming years.
  11. Did you find anything? Looking here as well for calls to UK, with credit based top up rather than subscription.
  12. Maybe weed as well, some of which could certainly be described as having a "musty odour".
  13. I just completed this quiz. My Score 20/100 My Time 221 seconds
  14. Could have done without that second photo...
  15. True, but I'm comparing it to the table in the OP which refers to new state pension only (£185.15pw in 2022/23). Although it compares miserably with other European countries, the UK state pension has actually doubled in the past 10 years (£115.95pw @ April 2015, £230.25pw @ April 2025).
  16. That looks like the 2022 figure, it's currently £958.53, rising 4.1% in April.
  17. Maybe the guy had tried to talk his gf into having a threesome, and she agreed, "with one condition"...
  18. I just completed this quiz. My Score 40/100 My Time 154 seconds
  19. 420 is quite a precise number. It's almost as if this idea was hatched under the influence of the devil's lettuce...
  20. You could get two 4s for the same price as an 8.
  21. Any experience from people who have completed this questionnaire? If informing Nationwide about non residence I'm wondering what they do next.
  22. Just read it as well. According to this Nationwide should allow existing accounts to remain open. https://www.which.co.uk/news/article/which-banks-allow-you-to-keep-your-account-as-an-expat-aIiEs1i49WTf
  23. It would have been fine but for the guy who kept ringing the bell to buy all the stewardesses a drink...
  24. Mattress City has some good brands often with decent discounts: https://mattresscity.co.th/th?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiApY-7BhBjEiwAQMrrEXfzdboaFGDn03S5DIFwSKPu4fkDMnnEINP4gojYYFDiLuEAf8lljxoC7b4QAvD_BwE
