But it's not "everyone the same way". Thais do not have tax on earned interest automatically withheld from their bank accounts. We foreigners now do...and this just started automatically (on us only), regardless of amount earned, a few years back. As you are certainly aware, previously it was only after the earned interest threshold was reached. Furthermore...my response was to the statement that the poster was concerned Thailand would start taxing money already here in the bank. They already do.

These Thai thugs and thousands others are just itching to have a shot at foreigners. Almost always in unfair numbers, of course. They loathe us behind those fake smiles.

Nope. Same situation last month at Jomtien...rejected. Signed in new passport number (had already had the stamps transferred) and the system didn't recognize me. Then signed in with the old passport number and changed it to the new passport number and then entered it. It was received and I got the email of receipt, but a few hours later it was rejected and was told I need to report to my IO.
