Does seem unusually hot, humid and wet in Bangkok and Pattaya areas this year, compared with other years. Don't mind the 30s C, but would be nice for some lower humidity. Soon, surely❓

These light controlled crosswalks are causing more harm and danger than any good. Unsuspecting newbie pedestrians are trusting and expecting Thai drivers (worst, most unobservant, apathetic and oblivious drivers on earth) to STOP. They are fooled and not looking all ways before actually crossing. Many just blow through at speed. This is chronic everywhere in Thailand. Much safer to just wait for traffic to pass and safely cross while actually observing the conditions, instead of trusting ineffective lights, sound effects and these idiot drivers. Have been asked for PP 4 times over 27 years. Had it with me one time. 1 time around 2000 offered my US driving license without issue. Twice in more recent years including once last year, showed pics on my phone once and Thai driving license the other. All without any further hassle. Unless up to no good...prob safe with those copies. ????

Not here in The Old City, Chiang Mai. Was on Walking Street Sunday night at 6pm and it started blaring. GF was the first to freeze up. Soon hundreds and hundreds of us pretending to be respectful, like silly statues. Bunch of BS. Even at high school sporting events when was a kid...a few of us would remain on our asses, which totally incensed the faculty. ???? Here I comply (when with Thais anyway), but this ridiculous power play and controlling of the masses has gotta stop.

Yes, near impossible to get BOLT in CM. Also had 2 drivers accept the ride...THEN contact me wanting more money! In CM have pretty much gone back to GRAB. It's twice the price, but can get a ride.
