    Fitting name. This would be tragic if impatient disregard for any and all wasn't so common and prevalent here. Always in such a rush. Always taking unnecessary risks to save 5-10 seconds. And worst of it...always putting themselves, and especially others, at risk of life or limb.

    FYI to anyone interested and for accuracy...previously this bird was called "Indian Roller" (Coracias benghalensis) here in Thailand and I like that common name better, but that is no longer correct. It's been determined they are 2 separate species. So for about 5 years now, it's Indochinese Roller (Coracias affinis) found in Thailand, not Indian Roller (Coracias benghalensis) which is found throughout India. See range map below.

    Everything used to be dirt cheap here. Nowadays...not so much. Healthcare was previously cheap here too, even at the private hospitals, but that was going back prior to at least a decade ago. Imagine it still may be if one is willing to go to a government hospital, but do some homework and try to find a quality one. Have heard stories from foreigners and Thais alike of ineptitude and apathy at many of these places.

    They're not. Sorry you had a bad experience, but I've had 4 different dentists over 25 years...2 in BKK and 2 in Pattaya...and all have been excellent and very affordable. Quality work at great prices, all. Agreed. ????

    Google Translate has much improved over the years. It's quite good and best for free. While some avoid Google anything and everything for myriad reasons, I use Google everything for everything and find it all awesome. Search, Translate, Photos and especially Maps. Directions in Maps while walking or driving is fab and essential when navigating unfamiliar territory.

    Yes it matters (and should to everyone). No problem admitting such if convincingly and objectively shown to be incorrect with supporting evidence contrary to my current understanding. This is how science and the scientific method works. This was formerly called "learning"...and/or learning something new. Used to be a good thing. Nowadays...not so much.

    Don't think Bangkok Bank is the partner, but received my money only 1 day later. Formerly I used MoneyGram, which has a much lower fee ($1) and the same rates, so overall more baht in my account...but it always took a full week to receive my money. So a day or 2 or 3...a slight delay...still seems speedy and expedited comparto MoneyGram!
