Used to be a great metal bar on Wireless Road...The Metal Zone. Think it's moved since Covid. There's a great band named "Hard Boy" and if you Google them or find them on Facebook, can see where they're playing. Also a really old band called Tornado who've been around since mid-90s. If ever in Pattaya/Jomtien be sure to hit Take Care Bar. The band (start every night at 8:30) is very good and can really nail most requests. From AC/DC, Black Sabbath and Disturbed to Linkin Park, Pink Floyd, Van Halen & ZZ Top. Did "Whole Lotta Rosie" recently and killed it❗Fab ???? player. Often wonder why he's in Jomtien⁉️

I believe what you say and it makes sense, but think many/most will find the driver wants B20 past Central Pattaya Road. Not worth the ire of a songtaew driver. Found. that out a long time ago.

It's 10 baht from Jomtien (or anywhere in South Pattaya area) to Pattaya Klang (Central Pattaya Road). Go further and it's 20 baht. Last year during Covidiocy, it was only B10 to Pattaya Nua (North Pattaya Road). Some will claim B10 to Pattaya Nua, but just stick to this and you'll have no issues. It's worth the extra B10 and you definitely don't want a potential problem with an angry baht bus driver.

That's great. Lucky you. Mine's been on the "Step 2" since 5 July and I've called them and emailed them to no avail and no answers. I'm totally underwhelmed with their service and this excruciatingly SLOW process. Regardless of why it wasn't completed in 2 to 4 weeks, as they claim...it is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable that it's still under review after nearly 4 months.

TG service sucks. Once the cabin crew cleans up the meal service, they disappear into the gallies never to be seen again. They serve all drinks in thimbles. Wouldn't quench a Quetzal's thirst or give a bee a buzz. Thai Smile cabin attendants much better...and it's the same company.

Seems it should be fairly simple to open an online bank account from anywhere. Especially if it is with the same bank. Not a UK bank, but just opened a new Capital One account from here in Thailand the other day. Did need a US phone number for verification codes/1-time passwords, which I have for exactly this reason.
