Before my time. First arrived in 1992, so you've got a decade on me. Those were the days. The Post lost it's edge when they got rid of Trink. Even those little news bits became lame and uninteresting. The new editors were bringing the hammer down. The only PC World I had anything to do with was a subscription to the computer magazine back in the 90s and 2000s...and the shop!

Most but not all. Knew at the end would be "anything else would be superfluous" or similar. The Night Owl and the random News blurbs from around Thailand (and surrounding) were my favorite parts of The Post back then. Both really raw and raunchy...down & dirty. Enjoyed it. Thanks for writing.

Use the address registered with immigration and do it online (link posted by Ubonjoe above). Works brilliantly for most and can be done from anywhere within Thailand from 2 weeks prior and right up to the actual report date. A certain well respected member, by me anyway haha, @DrJack54 loves reporting by post, which seems just a tad anachronistic.

Predominantly use BOLT with an occasional GRAB. Haven't yet been unable to get a BOLT but sometimes wait times are long. If too long, I cancel and go for GRAB, which is usually readily available (at a higher price of course).

Aircon and fan before lights out, then aircon off and only fan. When waking during the night will turn the air con on for 5 or 10 minutes, then off again with only fan. This is pretty much what I do in the daytime too, air con on and off as needed.

WAY past time to do these things. Behind as always. Typically Thailand. Stop mask mandates everywhere. Of course, many of us ditched the masks outdoors last year and have stayed out until 2am (and much later!).. This place will never be a leader or even a reasonably fast follower.

Totally agree with and get all of your above. All for everyone doing what and how they prefer...but why not, as I previously suggested, just give the NEW online site a try. (Others have posted the link.) If it fails, then you can just do the usual walk in. I read others complaining initially too and fully expected a "Typically Thailand" failure. However, was pleasantly surprised with APPROVAL next day (this time same day). Also, if you travel alot as I do, can do online from anywhere in Thailand, so don't have to plan around that. Always good to have options. ????

Just give online a try. If it works...in the future go shopping MINUS the "convenient" immigration hassle. I can see Jomtien Immigration out my window. 5 minute walk. Only PP needed and don't even go inside as there's an outdoor collection area where a gal takes PP in and delivers back shortly. All very convenient, but why? No thanks. New online system works great for many/most and will even auto-fill all your info after initial approval. ????

2 careers of hard knocks!

Have used the new online 90-day reporting 3 times now flawlessly. Just yesterday, submitted @ 0604 and got Approval email @ 0829. Jomtien stepping up their game.

I wake up many mornings here wondering that very thing. ????
