When I see the satellite maps and the burning in the surrounding countries, it makes me realize that most of Asia has a lot of poor farmers who cannot change their habit of burning, cane leaves and their crops. I do not see any changes in the next 50 or 100 years. Maybe the developed countries could send all their ultra green people to help the poor farmers. Just joking of course. Good Luck to all.

It is always nice to see the employees and management getting their bonuses, before the business goes bust. It show the honesty of them all. NOT.. I hope people did not have all their savings and such in this bank alone. Only trust the major banks a bit more, as they will likely not go bust as quickly.

Great to read your article Rooster. I have good memories of Koh Chang. Visited there with my Thai family several years ago. I also visited Phuket several years ago, and when i went back the last time some places where I used to stay are gone. My Thai family said the same thing about Koh Chang, More developed and some places new and modern built where some old places with cabins once stood. I am glad to hear that the beaches are still in good shape and the ocean still looks clean.

The British family could get an airline ticket and go to Thailand to either say goodbye to their son, or at least see him in the hospital. if he is going to live, then the family could find out how much it will cost per month until this guy can fly back to the UK, when he has recovered enough to do so. If they are not rich enough to pay for a special flight, then face reality like the rest of us have to.

Why was this Grande son staying at his granddads home anyway? I hope he rots in prison for making his grand parents homeless. -
The Impressive Impact Of Clean Energy Projects On Global Emissions In 2022

Those giant Windmills kill lots of birds every year. They are also high maintenance and the wind cannot be too strong as well or they have to be shut down. Green but unreliable. Solar is no good in the night, and Hydro needs mountains. Just sayng. -

Travel demand fuels a boom in Asia Pacific — in hotel rates
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It seems to be the high end hotels that jacked up their prices. I checked with a few guest houses in some places in Thailand and their rates are the same as before. I do not stay in 4 or 5 star hotels anyway. Harvey M -
Thai Women’s rights groups submit demands to government
Stargeezr replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I feel sorry for the women in oppressed parts of the world like Iran, Iraq, Syria, and especially Afghanistan. Especially yesterday when it was International Women's Day. Equality will never happen in the next 100 years in these countries, that is a fact. -
Bangkok’s air pollution causing grave concern in parts of the city
Stargeezr replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
Looking at the pollution map, it seems that lots of fires are also happening in Cambodia and Laos. Maybe it is Asia that has a big issue with burning the leaves off of their crops is a problem for all of Asia. Is crop burning also the reason for Dhaka Bangladesh to have a 273 reading, or Patna India to have 237 reading? Just wondering Harvey M -
88% of Thailand bank accounts have less than 50,000 THB
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
A lot of the world is in financial trouble, and these are countries that are not at war. My question is when was the last time the USA paid down any of its massive debt? The same goes for some European countries, and other parts of the world, when is the last time a lot of countries paid down at least some small percentages of their debt? It actually is a scary world we are all living in. What would happen if there was a global money melt down? I heard that another bit coin company has failed. Will there be any that survive? Just thinking. I am sure glad that I did not invest in bit coin, or be involved in bit coin. -
Michael Knowles Says Transgenderism Must Be ‘Eradicated’ at CPAC
Stargeezr replied to onthedarkside's topic in World News
Yes I believe that there are 2 genders Male and Female. Then there is the alphabet soup of what people want to be called. I was a boy and called a master, then as and adult man I was called a Mister. In the last several years the requests to be called something else such as Them or They, and other titles have made every thing more complicated. Some say its a new world I guess. As a senior, to me it is the same world with people trying to make it a new world. -
My question is why are people blaming the truck driver and not the pickup driver? If people would quit driving when they are tired, it would help a lot. This Is Thailand and over the many years that I have visited there, I have seen many people who drive when they are tanked up on booze, or drugs, or keep awake pills. I doubt that anything will change in the next 50 years either. As I said it is Thailand. Just my opiniuon.

Yes Russia used to be USSR, and maybe some of the areas of Russia will tell Vlad and his bunch. No More war, no more destroying the USSR. I hope that the war in Ukraine does have some big effect on the USSR. Just my opinion anyway. I am so glad that I am not Russian today.

Female Motorist Rear-Ends Truck on Chonburi Bypass and Dies

RIP to the woman. Those cheap helmets save you from the RTP fining you from not having a helmet on. Just saying. -
To buy out the properties next to the tracks to build a straight overpass rail crossing would have cost way too much for the instant valuable properties. You do know that this is Thailand we are talking about right? using the U turn design was a cost savings by using right of way land besides the railway tracks.

One of my relatives in Canada told me that he only watches Fox News, and gets the rest of his stuff from his computer. I asked if He heard of Q Anon, and other sources in the computer and he still says his new sources are better than CBC, CTV, Global news in Canada, or CBS, ABC, NBC, and CNN. He likes Rebel News and a few other twitter news sources so he gave me a good laugh for my day.
