  1. I am pretty sure you can get a Visa based on being a supporting parent if your name is on the birth certificate as the father
  2. I have good friend that did the above and like the OP all well till 1 month it came through Kbank despite him doing all needed to insure it was BBK. He contacted Wise and was told by the person that took his call there is no Guarantee that it will be going through BBK despite him using the long term stay option. He asked to speak with a supervisor one was not available to talk his call but he was told they would return his call. They did shortly there after and the supervisor told him the exact same thing.
  3. Used my BBK Bank App to scan the QR code at a BTS station for a 44 baht fare at a ticket machine just to try it out fast and easy
  4. Few years ago I was in Hua Hin when my 90 day came due went into the Imm office and told them I was from out of the area and the lady called over another guy maybe the big boss, He looked over the passport handed it back to her she asked where I was staying I told her the hotel name she processed the 90 day stapled in My Passport all good.
  5. They did not ask my Arrival card number or type of visa as the old on line system did but I was accepted an hour ago so will wait and see
  6. I worked in the entertainment business for 15 years. first job 8 years and was going to retire. I got no hassle that time in Sri Ratcha SS office they paid me my lump about 80K and enrolled me in the SS medical plan all good. short while later was given a offer i could not turn down so went back to work did so for another 7 years and when i retired that second time I had to go to Rayong SS cause as i posted above Sri Ratcha refused me but a trip to Rayong and was again paid the lump sum around 70K and was enrolled again in the SS Medical. It is 100 % cover as well paid for a double hip replacement in my case my cost zero 16 days in the hospital. If you are told no just try another SS office
  7. Same old story every office can do as they like regardless of the rules
  8. i went through the same hassle when I retired. Went to Sri Ratcha SS office and requested my Lump sum payout and to continue the medical coverage for the 432 per month. They insisted i no longer qualify. I knew i did as i made phone calls did my homework. I have a friend who went through this as well in Sri Ratcha. He went to Rayong SS office and no issue at all. I followed his advice and what a difference. I went in and told them what i wanted she gave me a form to fill out took copys of my Kbank book and passport and SS card. She took all the forms and copys and told me that the Lump sum payout would be in my Kbank account within a week and it was and let me know the 432 would be debited beginning the following month and it was. I would try another office if they dont allow it.
  9. I would think any immigration office can fix it but will they fix it? I had a good friend who had an error on his stamp coming into Thailand three or four years ago he went down to jomtien to have them change it and correct it they refused and told him he had to go back out to the airport and see immigration there. What a pain
  10. Drinking is really not required. I did 15 years had two very popular walking Street Entertainment venues never had a drink as I was a non-drinker and still am. Regarding the question of ownership something I would never want after 15 years of seeing how things operate it's a headache I would prefer to pass on
  11. I get mine done 90 days in advance every year but that's through an agent here in Pattaya.
  12. Yes I understand I follow you and I know you're knowledgeable on these immigration issues. But unfortunately offices it seems are allowed to make their own rules in some cases but like you say it hasn't been completely explained
  13. Walking street looks like a war zone so many businesses boarded up. The street its self in terrible shape no Tourists other than the Hardcore sex tourists will spend any time there. That crowd is shifting to LK Metro and the Soi Boukow area already. Walking street has had its time seen its day. Never will be like it was pre covid 19.
  14. for that and many other things each office allowed to make their own rules and there lies the problem
  15. I just tried and it is working normal for me after the update all data for me correct
  16. As are those of us that have retired and continue to pay into the Social Security scheme we're very lucky
  17. I use the Opera VPN for some site it works great for other sites it doesn't work at all but for free I can't really complain
  18. I'm surprised they found that. I have a friend in the US that is coming on the 20th of December he went through all the steps sent a way to get the approval. Then he realized the insurance he bought was incorrect the dates were only good for half of his stay. He wanted to resubmit I told him just hang on until they contact him a few days later he got his approval and the Q R code. So I'm not sure if approval is done manually automatically but they didn't catch his mistake.
  19. I just sent a donation to IP torrents and it went through fine did send me a OTP but all good
  20. Booked 3 different hotels on Booking with my Bangkok bank card and no problem
  21. If you're told it cannot be done try another social security office. The amount was substantial in my eyes after eight years I collected over 80,000. And when I retired for the second time from the second job 7 years later about 70,000. Nothing to sneeze at that's for sure
  22. That is indeed the case I retired two times I took the lump sum both times and now I am on voluntary payments that get deducted from My k bank account monthly of 432 Baht for life. You are entitled to the lump sum as well as the medical coverage should you choose to keep having it deducted from your bank account.
