I personally have not done a 90day report for a couple of years my wife does it alone, in fact to show how ridiculous 90 day reports are the women in my village take it in turns to do 90 day reports that is 3 passports three different nationalities and they don't say a word at Jomtien!

Fact tracker: CCTV surrveilance cameras do not work on Koh Tao.
Might be a convenient technical glitch on the island.
I think in the Burmese two case they worked at first then when needed they had not worked, probably be the same with these two latest drownings CCTV always seem to be a problem on Koh Tao, strangs that (sarc.) neveless RIP the two deceased!

Try a builders merchant ! And many other stores, takes a short time to get what you want, but 20 minutes or more to actually pay and get out of there !
Immigration could/should be ALL online in this day and age of technology.Upload, confirm, done !
You're joking Charlie they can't even keep the 90 day reports online working regularly in all provinces, which i would have thought would have been pretty simple, but what do i know i'm no expert!

The point is - this is not what we signed up AND PAID for
That's true, but it's been going on for more than 70 yrs now and there seems to be no political will or even interest in changing it at the moment!

I seem to remember a Thai sentence or phrase that uses one word all the way through that makes no sense at all, until the correct tones and word lengths are used then it is understandable, this was used to show how important tones were, maybe someone can verify the phrase i refer too!

Since Tesco Lotus have stopped selling their own brand teas, I have been buying all my tea from Marks & Spencer. They have an extensive choice with a range of prices; all very good quality. Most Central Department stores have a branch of Marks & Spencer.
Agreed Extra strong teabags Marks and Spencer Central in Pattaya 2nd Floor!

Unreadable is Umberto Eco, Foucault's Pendulum. An author proving to the proles how much smarter he is than them.
I have harbored the suspicion for some time Kindles are planned obsolence in action, the battery is impossible for a layman to replace. I had one fail under warranty, it was also more expensive to send it to the USA from Thailand than its cost.
My current Kindle is my fourth one, it will also be my last.
I have a paperwhite bought in UK about 11 yrs ago no problems at all so far, also got a kindle tablet type running a crippled version of android bought about 8 years ago still going strong, so your usage surprises me!

Yes i agree finished recently "Crime and Punishment" brilliant book hard to put down, Russian books can be hard going though with the unfamiliar names which seem about 2" long then they all have a nickname about the same length then a family nickname all these these names for one person can be used in a couple of paragraphs so can be a bit daunting, am reading "The Idiot" at the moment not as gripping as "Chrime and Punishment" so far that is!

Huge fan....not sure why though?......only one I struggled with was "Jude the obscure".
Have you read Anthony Trollope?
Yes i agree Thomas Hardy books are well written but also a bit of a downer no seemingly happy endings, all the main characters seem to be losers, in Jude the Obscure the only winner (if i remember from a long time ago) was the woman who prostituted herself or was a prostitute can't remember which!

Could you please guive the link where you found the app? I can't find it via Line
Also as it is only in Thai, it would be very helpful if you could give instructions in using it!
Use the opener next to "the week that was", scroll down there's a bar code which puts you right on it, all in Thai though!

This is not correct. I was able to book an appointment for June 16 and I am not Thai. However, I had to book with a public hospital so the private hospitals may not have been given permission to start appointments yet.
So maybe it is correct then, never the less we are trying government hospitals now, thanks for input!

I think a better choice would be to choose the gov hospitial from the list. Although the private hospitals are on the list, its not clear that they will be a part of the public vaccinations. (if they are they will be charging)
So possibly the privates dont have appointments. Get your wife to try for an appointment at Gov hospital. Its worth a try and I think it will be successful
Thank you Peter, the reason Bangkok Hospital was tried was because her niece is a ENT doctor at that hospital and your suggestion for Gov Hospital is already underway, thanks for input though!

Apparently a Thai person can register others, possibly without an ID number
"Users can also register on behalf of others by activating the “Add people” feature and including their relation to the registrant. After the registration is completed, users can proceed to the next step – booking a vaccination appointment."
My Thain wife tried to do that for me yesterday Bagkok Hospital Pattaya high risk group 82yr old, But no can do must wait till June!

Predictably insulting. You can't help yourself, can you?
But you may have provided some ideas.
Again, I don't have a Thai ID. I assume most retired expats don't have a Thai ID.
There are many people in my situation, so people doing a superior dance, I'm a good expat / you're a bad expat show is completely UNHELPFUL.
Responding to your points:
The app does not accept passport numbers, so I and many other expats can't use the app.
Maybe soon it will. We can hope.
Your point of contacting a private hospital is NOT CLEAR. You said explicitly that you were told by mail that you can register the same as Thai people. AGAIN, you need a Thai ID to do that. So what would be the point of contacting Bangkok Pattaya hospital to be told to sign up like Thai people, as I and many others, can't? Or were you trying to suggest something else. If so, maybe you could tell us.
Can you point to a specific video on that FB page that addresses how to MANUALLY sign up for the program as an expat with only a passport number?
Also as I made clear in my OP, looking for PATTAYA specific information which I suspect is not really available yet as so much of this is new. Such as which hospital to go to, how to contact them if you only have a passport number, etc. etc.
For example if someone walked into the Soi Buakow hospital tomorrow and asked to register with their passport, would that work or not NOW, or is this something we need to wait for until the local Thais get their act more gelled on how to deal with us (or not).
Exactly, my Thai wife tried to sign me up yesterday 1st May online at Bangkok Hospital Pattaya with my pink id card the same as she and her sisters had done, can't do got to wait for Thais to get the jabs first so Swiss1960? is talking rubbish and talking down other farrangs from his high horse, as you say predicable bs for one who has supposedly holds Thai I/D! From another whiner

Have you been in the USA? Most service establishments pay minimum wage or less. Tipping 10 -20% is expected practice. It's a significant part of income. Even hotel room cleaners expect something.
True, it's not mandatory. But as a waiter there once said to me, if you don't leave a tip, don't come back. Because it's very likely if they remember, nasty things will happen.
Yep, there is even a little table printed on the bottom of the bill with percentage rates worked out for you ie. 10,20,25,.30 etc. of your bill, so nice of them, seems crazy to me, but apparently tips are a part of their wages you are paying for, or so i've been told!
