Girls and Tatoos, how much is too much ?
ThailandRyan replied to Social Media's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Fad, there is that word again. Tattoo's are far from a fad......they have been around for Thousands of years. This is now the second topic (OP) that has been written and devolves around Tattoo's just like people believe it makes a girl/lady a bad girl.....Tattoos are up to the individual, many ladies look great with tattoo's, at least I think so, but then I am pretty well inked up myself. -

Brit 'dumped' in Thailand after his flight home is cancelled
ThailandRyan replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
At one time I would fly them. The day they moved me from my first class seat to make room for someone important, I never returned to fly with them again. Made me miss a connecting flight in Los Angeles because they bumped me to the next flight....ludicrous. -

We still wear masks when in the common areas of our condo here in BKK when others are about, in the lifts, and out on the sidewalks while walking if folks are around. If no one around then we drop the mask down and wear it as a chin warmer.......thats the funny thing to see I bet me wearing it as a chin warmer...

USA Tourist Visa for Thai Wife
ThailandRyan replied to SeaMike01's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
Just a tad younger....57. I managed to schedule an appointment myself for the same day the wife was doing her interview at the Citizens Services section to get some new pages added to my passport. When I finished I tried to enter the interview section in another building so I could pick up my daughter who was with the wife and is a US /Thai citizen. I was quickly detained by the security guard who was at the door checking ID's against his clip board. He then called for and actually had the MP's escort me from the grounds. I was given a warning and told my actions could have caused my wife to be denied.....who would have thought a US Citizen could be thrown out of their own embassy....lol -
USA Tourist Visa for Thai Wife
ThailandRyan replied to SeaMike01's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
I believe it is called a CR-1 Visa for a spouse, as that was what my now ex-wife was given here in Thailand. Now we had only been married for 14 months at the time that she was approved and it had taken 12 months after applying, but this was back in 2012 when I applied. A friend who has been married for 3 years and lives in the US has been trying for the better part of two years to get his wife to the US. He just found out yesterday that she will be scheduled for an interview but this is only after she obtains the Police Clearance from the RTP HQ here not to far from the embassy. He is hoping that she can get her interview and be in the US by Christmas, which will be 27 months since he applied. Another friend is doing a Fiancé visa application for his GF and it was accepted for processing in August of 2021, here he is 13 months later and it is still in the initial processing. He checked on line with the USCIS system and he has to wait until after January of 2023 before he can ask for them to check on it's processing status. He was told it is taking between 19 and 21 months before the USCIS is processing it through to the NVC for the next steps. -
What's funny is that my Insurance certificate for my Yamaha X-max -300 says it is a "Big Bike" and the green book from DLT just says it is a 300 cc under the horsepower section. I also just renewed my Driver licenses for both car and motorbike. While at the DLT I asked when they were going to start issuing the Private Motorcycle licenses for big bikes. The lady pointed to my new 5 year at the top where it says Private Motorcycle License and said "Big Bike" with a smile....still no clue is and when they are going to start the new licensing.

USA Tourist Visa for Thai Wife
ThailandRyan replied to SeaMike01's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
Again, you do not register your marriage at the US Embassy. You guys are giving out misinformation. https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/local-resources-of-u-s-citizens/getting-married-in-thailand/ Embassies and Consulates cannot perform or register marriages. The following information is provided: -

His wife will be the only one allowed into the embassy on the date for the interview. He can not attend at all. This changed many many years ago. -

Exactly, it is not required or needed to be done. Yes the translation and certification is needed when you apply through the USCIS for a CR-1 Visa. -

Registering your marriage at the embassy is not needed. Your Thai marriage is recognized by the US. Been there done that and had the wife immigrate to the US with our daughter back in 2013 after being married in 2012. I did all of the paperwork myself. -
