The USA has, over many years, including during this Presidency and Trump's previous term of office, supported Ukraine with non-stop aid notwithstanding a high amount of corruption within the Ukrainian govt system. Ukraine is now massively in debt to the USA, and many other countries. In this context the new minerals agreement with the USA makes sense as it adds weight to the USA's ongoing commitment to the well-being of Ukraine. You really need to know what you're talking about before going into print.
