    Hardly a major incident, and not that unusual in any entertainment area where booze and birds are the main attraction. Another ridiculous reference to cannabis in the accompanying text. For the umpteenth time, cannabis induces calm, not aggression.

Polio vaccines were in use by the mid 1950s, food rationing, which had virtually stopped by 1950, was necessitated by the allies resistance fight against fascism in Europe, and the rumours of the existence of no blacks, no Irish, no dogs signs in rooming houses were just that, rumours.

    The Italian was snorkelling in a restricted area. Too many tourists in Thailand arrogantly, and self-importantly, ignore local regulations and bylaws. Regarding this particular incident the expression 'Ni hao' usually means little more than 'Hello' in most situations, however it can be offensive if spoken in an aggressive manner.

    Songkran was once a charming and delightful celebration of the Thai new year until, that is, young foreign thugs taught the Thais how to debase the whole occasion.

    What is described as a picture of the victim shows her next to a dog apparently wearing dark glasses. Very odd. I wonder how this dog was really being treated.

    The difference is that Thailand is still recognizably Thai. Britain, however, has changed beyond belief.

    No names until several days will have elapsed after which a police test will confirm no alcohol in the BMW driver's system. After a few more days all will be forgotten, and another hi-so half-wit gets away scot-free with no charges.
