Neighbour Held For Beating Italian Man To Death In Front Of His House
Scouse123 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
I put it down to limited or no education where they feel lashing out and violence solves the problem. I've seen Thai men drunk, beating the hell out of their wives and attacking their kids, you can't get involved or they link up and turn on us. many tend to blame the world for their own misfortunes.- 162 replies

Well said. I can't believe he is trying to justify murder for a lame excuse of smelly garbage..........even if it was true, which I doubt.- 162 replies

Neighbour Held For Beating Italian Man To Death In Front Of His House
Scouse123 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
And you don't think there is any possibility that through these disputes, which led to the imprisonment of the Thai neighbour's son?, the smell of garbage could just be that.......A garbage excuse served up as a justification for using extreme violence because he was annoyed that his son had been imprisoned. I have seen the behaviour of Thais in the local villages, I see it every day, Healthy living and hygiene both personal and in their homes are not top of their agenda- 162 replies

If you are on a short trip in Asia and travelling to say, Vietnam or Cambodia, on a budget carrier such as Air Asia or Vietjet, you are better off packing 7Kgs because outside laundries to get your clothes cleaned are way cheaper than the add-ons charged by the airlines for luggage. The insurance add-on is nonsense. I am willing to pay for seat selection to sit where I want to be.

King Power not happy with talk of abolishing duty-free on arrival

I recall those days when a person just stood over a boundary line while browsing and was instantly accused of shoplifting. -
King Power not happy with talk of abolishing duty-free on arrival
Scouse123 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Whenever I have looked at duty-free shops in Thailand and the UK, buying in the high street or online always seems cheaper. I see no advantage in spirits, wines, or perfumes at duty-free shops. -
Large human trafficking case involving Thai berry pickers in Finland
Scouse123 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
How many are victims of human trafficking and how many are willing participants! It's only human trafficking when it's against their will or they are coerced into it. It is not when they dive in head first then scream human trafficking when they get caught in the act -
CHEATING ONLINE SHOPPING- be careful people
Scouse123 replied to Scouse123's topic in General Topics
Absolutey disagree. You obviously don't order much online and it seems dont pretty get involved in most things but have a usually sarcastic or tainted opinion on everything. It's a case of unscrupulous sellers sending junk through and not meeting the description they sold it as. As a customer I am expecting a delivery and therefore pay for it. When opened it does not resemble what was ordered. its happened now on three occasions We now open in front of the drivers, and the drivers have told us it is happening often and they have been instructed by their head office to video the opening of packages! To those on here who keep quoting Lazada, where in my OP does it mention Lazada? Mostly it's happening via Facebook orders. -
Hi. Just to let you people know, and many may have already fallen for it already as I have recently, please be very careful when ordering online products now. In the past I was happy. I bought plenty online. Loads of products sent as described. I have found recently the products delivered to be very securely wrapped and impatient delivery riders who want you to pay COD so they can be on their way. It's happened twice in the last week and products described online do not resemble what is delivered, neither in quality nor what I ordered. I have lost a few quid, but I am now wise to these scams going on where they are sending tracking numbers and then not delivering what you order in the hope that you won't check the contents and just pay for them.

They are never going to do that unfortunately. This is why they create such dramas with any country having relations with Taiwan. They are determined to take it, just as they are determined to push everybody out of the South China seas. The massive military build up is not for no good reason. It has never been under the control or ruled by the CCP , but they don't let facts or the truth get in the way of anything, especially now they have the sad faced despot who has effectively declared himself leader for life, along with Kim Jong Un, Vladimir Putin, the Iranian Ayatollahs etc They lied and destroyed Hong Kong's democracy and are hell-bent on doing the same in Taiwan. They've been waiting for this have the Chinese, ever since the days of the clown Mao Tse Tung, whose policies led to the deaths of millions of Chinese. Meanwhile in Cambodia massive dry docks for large ships are getting prepared. This gives a springboard for further Chinese expansion. Hun Sen saying it's for the use of the tiny Cambodian Navy which doesn't have ships bigger than 50 metres long!!

And here we are now! China massively expanding its air force and Navies as well as its nuclear arms capabilities. They did this filthy nonsense in Tibet and now trying to take over the entire South China Sea against all claims from Vietnam, the Philippines, and all other countries in the region having rightful claims to territorial waters. China, of course, ignores this. Furthermore, they are now throwing their weight around with African and European countries under their unfair ' belt and roads ' policy. Italy got wise to it and pulled out. The Chinese were furious with them and threatened retaliation. Now, trying to introduce their Chinese police into countries around the world to ' help ' Chinese tourists, the objective is more likely to crush dissent by Chinese nationals living abroad. Taiwan is another example, it was never ruled by the CCP however, they are hell-bent on taking it. Look at their friends, Russia, Iran, and North Korea, kind of says it all.

Absolute bull $hit. The Chinese are now going to be doing the same in Thailand as they are already doing in Cambodia. Takeover by stealth and some in Thailand are too braindead to accept it, or they don't care. Next thing they'll be importing their version of law and order, Chinese style. It's not cooperation, it's a takeover.

Dont sweat the small stuff. Cambodia, cheap food, cheap beers, cheap spirits, cheap hotels. What's the big deal? -
I like the Vietnamese and I like their directness. I have been many times and will be there again on the 24th, I can't wait. Better than a load of false smiles, tits and teeth.

You obviously live in cuckooland I am a realistic person Think the best of people but always be ready for the worst. So you think she was smart allowing a man she just met on what is effectively a sex dating site, and then is surprised that he exploits the opportunity. How naive are you?
-
We are dealing with the real world here, not your opinion of it and how people are expected to ' behave ' through your ' rose colored glasses ' Nothing to do with victim blaming. If people like her were not so dumb and thought a little more, there would be less rapes and crimes. It's about protecting yourself and your space, and not allowing a complete stranger, who you have just met on a bloody sex dating app, to stay the night at your apartment when you are alone. "Respect her wishes", What planet are you on? This is Bangkok, a melting pot, a metropolis where people come together from all over the world, and is one of the sex capitals of the world. If only the world was how you wanted it to be!
-
So you meet a guy on a dating app. We know why people use these kind of dating apps. Especially Tinder and Grinder. They are used as sex hook ups. He asks to stay at your place, even though you have just met him, you agree. Around the world, and with different races with different cultures and values, people get very different ideas about what constitutes ' flirting ' and ' invitation ' At the very least it was ' foolish ' to allow a man she has just met on a dating app to stay at her place when she was alone. Stupidity and not protecting yourself and your personal space comes to mind. It could have ended far worse, she could have allowed a Psychopath into her apartment who kills and dismembers her, it's happened before through dating apps. All those screaming Rape is Rape, we know what that is. Those kind of things are always going to happen with dating apps and allowing somebody you don't know to stay at your place on the first night. Blind stupidity.

UK pensioners flock to luxury retirement resorts in Thailand

I don't think for a minute UK people are ' flocking ' to Thailand for a deal like this. Far cheaper to make your own arrangements in this area of healthcare. -
