Yes I am keeping up and am well read on the subject and keep up to date as much as possible with reading, internet, factual documentaries etc What you say is correct to a point, and sure with technical advances these batteries for E Vs as well as other things will become more efficient but they need to drop the pretense of the ' Go green ' load of codswallop. Nothing green about any of it.

" The precise individual chemical make-up of each electric car's battery is a closely guarded secret, but most electric vehicle batteries produced today are lithium-ion and lithium polymer-based, with the major components being steel, aluminum, lithium, manganese, cobalt, nickel and graphite " The above is from the internet but an accurate description of what is going on to produce this so called ' greener energy ' that the media is trying to force feed us into accepting. And where are all these components coming from to make these car batteries??, Yes, they are mined. Usually by little African children aged 7 and 8 years old upwards. But they don't want to show that in their advertising for their so called green energy and saving the planet from CO2. It's all a giant con!

German Tourist Dies After Scuba Diving in Phang Nga
Scouse123 replied to webfact's topic in Southern Thailand News
Well one thing for sure, 20 metres was too deep for this guy obviously. -
You need to do some research on this topic before making statements like that. So he wasn't even a smoker! What are we going to do next to please the naysayers, ban cappuccino? Obviously a night creature who had difficulty sleeping and no doubt an underlying health condition but that doesn't fit the narrative of the anti weed brigade, even though the guy didn't smoke!

Slightly off topic but still ' Thai entitlement ' I gave away some old rugby and miscellaneous shirts to some guys in the village. They were good quality and originals, I just have too many. Some other Thai guys came to the house asking where their shirts were. I told them I didn't have anymore. A few days later I saw one of these guys who had been and asked wearing one ( none of my business as I had given them away) He probably bought it for 30 baht ( 2,000 baht shirts) I was a bit annoyed when I saw one of the guys whom I had given one to, cleaning his motorbike with it. My other half said to me that this is how they treat things when they get them for nothing and haven't paid for them. She piles her old stuff in boxes and keeps them in the store. She told me it isn't being mean, it's the fact that there is no gratitude only ' entitlement ' from those living around us and they would probably be speaking ' no good ' about her within fifteen minutes of receiving anything, probably because they wanted something different from what they were given. It's how many of them are. Easy come, easy go.

Well, when does this saga arrive at its conclusion? Shouldn't the OP be safely in Malaysia by now and deciding his next move? Try again or wait a while?

Despite Being Blasted, Chuwit Insists Thaksin Not Returning On Aug. 10
Scouse123 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I wouldn't trust them with any deal. You are quite right, once he is here in their clutches he is at their mercy. Sure, there will be a load of screaming initially if he goes to jail and they will do what they do best, keep quiet and wait for the dust to settle. Nothing to do with cowardice and Thaksin should know the mechanics of a system he helped create. I'd go for number 1 in this scenario. However, I do not believe he will be here on August 10th. I'd bet the farm on the unlikelihood of him returning even at risk of getting egg on my face. This guy has no intention of spending one day in a Thai prison at 74 years old. Similar story of Kamnan Poh, how long did he spend in jail?, and Thaksin has more ' clout ' than he had. I think a load more ' hot air ' will be pushed around and more excuses made ready about ' not being the right time ' His haters are still in the driving seat of this country. -
QATAR QR28 Manchester- Doha , Long shot query
Scouse123 replied to Scouse123's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
Thanks for input, However, I have flown business Q suites many times and I know Hamad airport very well. This time I am doing something completely different which is flying on a ' leased aircraft ' with a different seat configuration and that is what my query is about on this occasion. I know Qatar air and have had my share of ups and downs with them. -
Hi, This is a long shot and maybe nobody can help but worth a try. I am travelling back from UK late September MAN-DOH-BKK on QR28. However, Qatar has leased aircraft from Oman and Cathay Pacific and the seat configuration is not the same when I checked online, and this is the carrier I am booked on. I am on a 777-300ER and in the front section it has what are called ' comfort seats ' On researching this I am informed that these were formerly used as premium economy seats on the respective airlines, or at least in Cathay Pacific! I was wondering if any board members had flown in this category recently as I was looking for a heads up on this particular seating arrangement. I have a Qatar Gold membership so I can fortunately choose my seats free of charge, (so I can get aisle seat exit row if I wish), but I preferred this as it is a smaller cabin and the seat I was choosing was a standalone ( sit alone) I am referring here to a seating arrangement, so please do not confuse it "comfort class" which is a standard of class of ticket purchase and is something entirely different and has nothing do do with seat configuration.

Unprecedented six-day holiday leads to tourist boom in Pattaya

What a load of Macaroni this chart is from 2000! And you believe it? that chart is about as reliable and trustworthy as Thailand is of having open, free and fair elections It doesn't feature Colombia, Afghanistan, Brazil, Mexico and all the countries that produce and distribute this nonsense. I wonder why? And your solution is to hang the users and the mules?

Absolutely, We had a clown coming back from Khonkaen the other day. They had missed their turn off so instead of driving ahead and making a U turn, they anchored on the brakes and reversed up the highway. You really have to be ' on the ball ' on these roads. Luckily, we are very steady and careful drivers and keep our wits about us constantly. You never know what a lot of these <deleted> are going to do. This is a result of buying driving licences and terrible driving skills.

We won't be venturing further than the local Lotus supermarket, I hope those on the roads exercise caution but sadly it's always the same old, same old when there's a holiday. Alcohol in, brains out. -

That surprises me, especially with the way the authorities are so strong on littering in Halong Bay! Also, in Hanoi I watched them all throw all their garbage into the street from the bars and restaurants, however, immediately behind were teams of workers cleaning it all up and putting it into waste wagons at 1.00am in the morning. -

Be quick, he needs it for the holiday! Government employees and bank employees will be paid. I can't see Somchai on a Bangkok building site getting the same treatment.
