  1. Romance scams, boiler rooms, online gambling, thieving, call centers. Opportunities are endless.
  2. Well it's good to know the BMW smart cars are doing their job and working well for the Police.
  3. No, Be very nice, wait until he is out, pack her things quietly and flee, preferably to another province. The police won't do anything except give useless advice and the beatings will start again as soon as the police leave. This is the problem, they want to be all grown up and have kids and then cannot cope with being adults, (because mentally they aren't), so they resort to the tantrums that always got them what they wanted when they were kids
  4. How can so much drama be emanating from a few unruly Kuwaiti youths? Are the Pattaya Police so useless and incapable of controlling a few kids that think they are not under the strict behavioral codes that apply in in Kuwait, and are pushing their luck.
  5. Of course he was, it's Kuwait bashing week!
  6. I didn't say a motorbike helmet per se, I said the majority of motorbike helmets on sale and available in the Kingdom
  7. He is trying to stay in their minds and remain relevant whilst equally showing he is on the doorstep. I don't think he was interested in Hun Sen's birthday in the slightest, it just suited his current needs. Narcissists are like that.
  8. Really Sherlock, And you have never jumped on a bike and driven 200 or 300 yards because the shop was near and handy and you were only going to be a couple of minutes? Heartless response on the death of a man who is another tragic victim on the infamous roads. The majority of motorcycle helmets available in the Kingdom are not worth wearing and offer next to no protection. Your empathy is heartwarming.
  9. He was a very successful man in his chosen career. I doubt very much there would be and Go fund me for a man of his stature. If you had read the full article you might have not made such an inane comment.
  10. Very sad reading for a man with a fabulous career and his golden days ahead of him. RIP.
  11. Damn, I'm only on 52.
  12. What a weird announcement to make from a senior police officer.
  13. One thing we all know here is that access to guns and dangerous weapons is far too easy in Thailand, more so that it is in neighboring countries in this region. Also, far too many people have them in their possession illegally and far too many youngsters know exactly where to purchase or acquire them.
  14. Unbelievable! Shame on the Temple and its leaders.
  15. I stopped on June 19trh, how long is that now????? Must be coming up to 7 weeks! Mind you, I am doing it for ' weight reasons ' not ' alcohol problem related ' reasons.
  16. A right angle?
  17. The food is good and a lot of it we cook at home. The weather is good as a rule although sick of mosquitos at the moment. Electric bills are cheap and so is fuel. Where I live is lazy, peaceful and laid back. Nobody rushes which is annoying at times, but great at other times. Nobody takes life too seriously and plenty of smiling faces even when they have little compared to the West. I like the fact that it is Buddhist as opposed to other religions. A big house that is very affordable in Thailand what you would struggle to have in the UK, without being a slave to utility bills and taxes. Very handy for beach resorts in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. I can think of far worse places to be. Watch the traffic, stay away from the local constabulary as much as possible and try not to get too involved with alcohol and cigarettes. Live your best and healthiest life.
  18. Well said that man. He just needs to make sure his driver is up to speed with who he is handing the goodies to. We don't want another ' box of chocolates ' episode.
  19. What a poor response to a post when you cannot find anything that is untrue. I make that Game, set and match.
  20. I have downloaded the app thanks to assistance here. When she returns next week, I will register here through the app. Any hiccups, we will just take a trip and day out to Kalasin city, it's only 1 hour away and a change of scenery! Thank you
  21. Hi, I didn't have section 38, I don't think so anyway. I think I had the immigration e services?? I deleted the app because it wouldn't let me in at all, and I thought I could reinstall on Play store but it isn't there. I've not used to report or anything as its very rare I am here continuously for 90 days.
  22. I have done as you said and it is now on my phone. Thank you very much.
  23. I have just deleted my old immigration app and now cannot find a replacement to download in Play store. I will just have to go to Kalasin.
  24. And once again, That is how Thais fight. Pack mentality and you and I won't change it. In Hanoi, Vietnam they use bottles over the head as the preferred response. No Queensbury rules there!
  25. I love the concept of being minimalist but when it comes to it I won't throw my memories away much of which are tied up in ornaments etc and nor will my other half let me. My son is minimalist and when I visit him in the UK I envy and admire how he does it. Anyway, I have a big house for the two of us, so the clutter can stay.
